Liked the appearance of the prominent maple flame top advertised but disliked that when I received the guitar that the flame maple top on the guitar does not actually look like the guitar in the advertisement.

    • First Impression Good Acoustic Archtop
I play jazz standards. I had archtops in past but found them to be to dry and dark sounding for playing gigs plus would get some feedback at times. I've been using a semi hollow Ibanez As 153. Missing the acoustic archtop, I tried several different models including the LGB 30. I decided to give the AF 95FM a try. Arrived in good condition out of box. Did not have to do any adjustments. I consider myself very lucky. The guitar with the stock strings had no fret buzz or rattles. Nice full mellow clear sound. Low string action and nice feel to slim neck. I tried it with a small group and did not detect any feedback, however we were playing at a low volume. I usually use flat wound ,strings and did try them on the guitar, to my surprise I believe it sounded better with the nickle wounds. Much fuller sound and variety with the tone. In closing for the price it's a good acoustic archtop with good tone and sound. Nice feel, light weight and easy playability. ... show more

my first hollow body nice-looking 18 months on, lots of fret buzz lots of tuning woes if I had it to do over, I might go with a different guitar
