    • Great Compact Mini System
The sound is excellent and the CD player and FM reception also are excellent. The remote works well and the system is fairly intuitive to operate. If there's any question on its featutes, there's a good youtube video to help. Its footprint takes up just 8 3/4" x 14 3/4" of space. I don't believe my area has any hi-def radio stations to test that feature, nor do I have any AM reception in the concrete fortress where I live, so I'm not able to rate those. The system is also attractive. The volume controls are digital and could be improved somewhat - set at 3 is a bit too soft and 4 a bit too loud. In ordering the iBox Tempo, it encounterted two delays during shipping and when I received Amazon's review request before I had received it, I gave it an unhappy "one star" review as "Amazon Analytics" should have known it was delayed. For those who boycott China, it's made in China, but designed in the UK. I had checked the iBox website before ordering it and sent them a query seeking why it was not listed among their products. Price is good. Controls well layed out and functional. Pulls in even weak radio signals we. Sound is great. As good as many higher priced cd player/radios.

    • Its ok. No complaints about anything.
The media could not be loaded. This Radio/CD player is small, not much larger than a clock radio. The sound is ok, not much bass sound like the old Bose radios, but its an ok player for its size. The programming of presets takes some time, but I got it after 30 minutes. The reception was fair to good once I set the radio at the right angle for AM. The FM reception was good near a window with the antenna extended. It comes with a remote which is the preferred way of operating any functions. At $100 it is a little over-priced for the sound, but you get CD which is the critical feature for me. It can’t compete with the old Bose tabletop radio/cd, but for the size and features I would recommend it. ... show more

    • THIS is a great Bose Wave Radio CD replacement. At a third the price.
I tried the Crosley Finn- went through 2 and both had dud CD transports. This iBox Tempo is an absolute cut above anything at this price point. It replaced a 20 year old Bose Wave Radio CD and is a tremendous upgrade. First, the build quality. This thing is heavy and fit and finish are premium. Very obvious the makers paid attention to detail. Second, the sound. Bar none superb for a small table radio sized unit. Room filling sound for a bedroom or office. You get a solid AM/FM tuner, yes AM included and has a surprisingly sensitive front end, pulls in stations my Bose could not get. Bluetooth streaming is solid (supports BT 5.0), and of course the CD player is excellent sounding. Manual does not mention it, but it does support MP3 CD playback, does not support WMA or AAC files, but being this feature isn't documented it was a plus for me. The remote is the clear winner here too. Not some flimsy credit card remote but a full sized remote control with ACTUAL BUTTONS laid out in a logical fashion. CD transport controls are "spelled out" with repeat, shuffle and pause keys, and a numeric keypad for track entry. Display is basic but clear, only shows track/file numbers but is pleasing, and can be dimmed with a single key press. Overall this thing is the ticket if you want QUALITY build, sound and not spend hundreds of dollars. ... show more

Dislike setting time , will not stay set , keeps going back to military time or what ever it is !! Speaker quality not great , radio settings not great , for the money stay away . I’m getting rid of mine asap .

    • Way more bass than you would expect.
Sound quality is great, way stronger bass than you would expect from the size and power of this radio. Excellent reception on both FM and AM, CD is great, Bluetooth works but you really have to turn the volume up. Unfortunately the speakers do not detach, which is about the only downside on this system. Would recommend purchasing this for an office, or anywhere that space is limited. ... show more

The unit had no tone control. There was way too many programming functions. It was a bit large for the few features.
