Overall this is a nice safe with some handy ways of accessing it. You can use the fingerprint or PIN, but there is also a keyhole hidden behind the name plate. It's sturdy and seems well built, but the advertising of it being "fireproof" is misleading. It comes with a small document bag and that is the ONLY part that is fireproof. The walls are single-layer and won't protect against heat like a proper fireproof safe. But it's a good size and has hooks and a shelf for internal organization. It seems strong, but if you REALLY wanted to get in, you could pry or bang your way in. Good deterrent either way. ... show more

    • BATTERIES FELL OUT

The batteries fell out and I have misplaced the keys. So everything inside is stuck. I’ve tried getting a hold of the manufacturer. You can see the batteries laying on the bottom through the little holes in the back. What a joke.

Sometimes the safe doesn’t open immediately, it’s much better to just keep the key on you and hide the spare.
