  • Warning--Included Hardware doesn't match instructions
I would recommend buying this. My warning(s) only apply to the assembly instructions. The first issue is that the instructions tell you to use the bolt, a nut, and a flat washer. According to the instructions there are 32 flat washers included. There are really only 8. The rest (and the ones that you should use for all but the final steps) are lock washers. When I assembled my first table I hadn't checked and put the first few parts together using the flat washers. Use the lock washers. The second suggestion is that, unless you were born with more than two hands, you should have a small vice grip or clamp handy. That will allow you to hold one end of a part in place while you're attaching the other end. My third suggestion is that you put a small sheet metal screw through the plastic feet, securing them to the legs. On both tables I assembled the feet kept coming off. If you want to keep a 'G' rated shop you'll be much happier if these are secured. Note that I said 'both tables.' After I assembled and started using the first one, I went online and ordered another. I had planned to build my own tool tables (and already had the materials to do it), but these were much easier, and just as good as what I was planning. ... show more

  • Awesome little work stand can easily be modified to become a mobile workbench.
Packaging: I took one star off because the box ripped open and the stand was exposed. Fortunately, they pack the hardware well or it would have fallen out. Assembly: It wasn't as difficult as some of the other reviewers made it out to be. The instructions aren't great, but if you have a little common sense, it's a breeze. It only took me ~ 45 minutes to assemble it (less mounting the top), but I'm handy, so I think the average person would spend about 1 to 1.5 hours. The only mistake that I made is I used the flat washers on the frame assembly and thought that I was shorted washers until I realized that it was for mounting the top. No biggy, I just got some other washers to do the job. Modifications: I wanted it mobile, so I measured the one leveler that it comes with to make sure I purchased the correct length and width mounting bolt on the casters. Works great with the casters. I also found an awesome heavy duty desktop that has the electrical sleeve built into it. I needed a bigger top, so I mounted the larger tabletop which is a much nicer top than what it comes with. The tabletop was more than the stand cost, so for a total of $165 (stand, top and casters), I now have a much nicer and mobile stand/workbench than the original. I'm super happy with the purchase and the modifications. It works perfectly for my needs. It is well worth the $68 I paid for it. This enabled me to break out a little more cash to modify it and make it into an awesome mobile workbench. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could :-) Update: the plastic piece on the bottom of the legs could not handle the weight on casters and it popped off while moving. Easily fixed with Pratley steel quick set epoxy 😃 ... show more

  • Good size but not sturdy
I have mixed feelings about this stand. It’s the perfect size for the benchtop drill press I’m using in this remodeling project. And it was easy to assemble. But even after tightening down all the bolts, it still racks and twists. I think the sheet metal is too thin. Also the instructions say to use the 8 wood screws and washers to attach the top, but the 8 washers are not included, and not even listed on the parts list. Also be aware that M6 bolts are included which require a 10mm wrench to tighten. I only have an old school fractional wrench set. I had to improvise. ... show more

  • OK for the Money
As others have commented on, instructions leave a lot to be desired. I found it easiest to assemble top rails first and screw assembly to top using the predrilled pilot holes. A minor annoyance - it was missing about 8 flat washers. The real problem is the 3/4 inch MDF split top. While they claim a 500 lb capacity, I'm doubtful. I mounted a 90 lb drill press and it flexes quit a bit. I may change it for 3/4 inch plywood. As is, it's more suitable for a bench grinder. ... show more

  • Great table for bench tools.
I bought this to hold some of my woodworking power tools. The assembly was pretty straight forward and easy except for the first step which was pushing the rubber/plastic feet onto the legs. I got frustrated and beat on one of the feet with a hammer to force it on. This got the foot onto the leg but split the corner of the foot. I finally learned how to line them up and tap on them gently. I decided it needed casters on it in order to get it around my garage easily. The caster that I attached to the foot I damaged during assembly caved in and failed. I reinstalled it with super glue, bailing wire and duct tape and it seems to be holding up now. I really like the spreadable top so that I can clamp my bench saw to the table and the saw dust can fall through the gap in the table top boards. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a small sturdy table to hold their bench tools. (See photo) ... show more
