I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. It's sturdier than other scooters I've ridden and it's easy to set up. My husband and I take turns riding around the block. It accelerates, even up hills and it picks up speed quickly. We feel like we're kids! It's exhilarating!!! The headlight and tail lights are nice and bright. I wear a light up helmet as an extra precaution. The cruise control is a nice option. The brakes are great. Battery life is excellent. This is my first review ever, and I felt compelled to write it because I found something I truly like on Amazon. What I Liked: Perfect Speed: The scooter isn’t too fast or too slow; it’s just right. It provides a smooth and steady ride, making it ideal for both commuting and leisurely rides. Versatility: I now take the scooter everywhere after work and on weekends. It’s become my go-to mode of transportation for short trips around town. I currently use it at work and around downtown LA. It gets me around lunch and breaks. This electric scooter works great, it was an early Christmas present for my teenager to transport himself back and forth from school that is less than 2miles away from home. Easy to assemble as the scooter arrived basically assembled except for one connector and four screws, and the tool for assembly and some extra screws were included. User manual is simple to understand. One of the best things about this scooter is the fast charging and the long lasting battery life. The user manual specifies to charge it for 6 hours before first ride, we let it charge overnight and after one full charging cycle my son has been riding this scooter up and down for a few days now and still haven’t had to recharge it, I would say the range is between 20-25 miles and speed up to 25mph. Very lightweight and compact making it easy to storage at home and school, he takes it into his classrooms, keeps it in a corner of the classroom without bothering or being in anyone’s way. The scooter is very sturdy, good quality material, durable and the tires are solid rubber and won’t need to be inflated. Overall this scooter is well made and wonderful for the price. ... show more

After a week of use and playing around with the features of this scooter, I have to say it is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a reliable and convenient way to commute. The 10-inch anti-flat solid tires and front dual suspension are great additions for handling uneven surfaces and making the ride smooth, especially on rocky city streets. The 500W motor and the ability to reach around 18mph for me(180lbs) make it perfect for longer trips to the grocery store and parks. The long-life battery is a big plus for avoiding frequent recharges. I also like the inclusion of the wide display and both a headlight and taillight, as safety and visibility are so important. HOVERFLY Model #X5 P/N: HF-X5-BLACK:500W ADULT ELECTRIC SCOOTER with Solid Tires and Hand Controls for all travel functions. User Instructions/Assembly Manual included with hardware. UNPACKING - Box has this side up markings. This position used to unpack and remove scooter, paperwork and parts. Note screw parts at right in open compartment of packing material. This is four screws and additional screws as spare. Packing material must be saved for any returns. ASSEMBLY - HANDLE BAR assembly into upright post. The ELECTRIC CONNECTOR cables are pressed together by inserting one connector into second using the key ridge as guide. Test connection. Handlebar post inserts into upright post orienting the four (4) Screw Holes. One screw has blue coating and is slightly difficult to securely fasten. Start all screws by hand assuring they turn easily. After all four started, finish assembly by alternating from one screw to another until all firmly tightened. CHARGE - Scooter arrives partially charged but the evaluation unit required full charge cycle. Specifications state six (6) Hour Timeline for full charge. We chose to charge overnight. Charging a RED LIGHT indicator is shown on the charge module. Fully charged the indicator is GREEN. CONTROL & OPERATION - Scooter arrives with default PASSWORD. PASSWORD change is first process before operation. The Password Feature is disabled or enabled using same input buttons. Two automatic shutdown modes of 30 minutes or 5 minutes in unlocked state. There are two speeds of operation on this model. The indicator can be changed from Miles to Kilometers. Acceleration and Cruise control on RIGHT Handlebars side with Handbrake and alert Bell on left side. There is Headlight with rear Red reflector taillight. Scooter - This is stand-up Scooter and the Handlebar post fixed with no provision to change angle during operation. For Carrying and Storage the post unlocks, fold down, then relocked in the lowered position. The readout is color and located with controls at handlebar center. The tires are solid rubber and never need to be inflated. The brake is on rear wheel only. The front wheel assembly has double shock Suspension. The specification for weight maximum limitation is 264 pounds. This is the 25 mile 20MPH Model. The units weigh is approximately 44 pounds. WARRANTY / SUPPORT - Warranty for the unit is ONE YEAR. Warranty/Customer Service Support Contact Information provided in User Manual and additional paperwork supplied with unit. The instructions are specific that original shipping materials must be retained for any potential return. The Warranty, for me, is confusing and not detailed. A copy is one of the picture panels. Observation - The unit arrived basically assembled except for one connector and four screws. The tool for assembly and extra screws included, a plus. The unit appears of quality construction. All metal finished with no rough edges, paint and surfaces smooth with no blemish. As mechanical device that will require replacing parts there is no breakdown of components and parts with order identification. The confusion of the Warranty and lack of detail reduces a star for me.
