  • Great quality/value for what it is...
I did alot of research and most stoves with my requirements were $400-$500. It's a "Hot Tent Stove" so it is halfway between a rocket stove and a potbelly stove. Don't expect thin walled stoves to have thermal mass or airtight dampening. But being able to be portable with no rust ever is pretty nice. This one checked all the boxes for me: "Airwall" vents to help keep glass clean, Double walled rear, large glass in a "fireplace" orientation, secondary burn, ashtray/grate, thicker gauge top, all stainless, real nesting pipe sections and diffuser cap. Cons: -Not airtight like folks mentioned or atleast a door gasket. -Finicky latch, thin gauge door hinge. -Lackluster carrying bag. -No inner baffle in the top of the firebox for even better secondary burn. Pros: -Price. -14" stove pipe sections (alot of portable stoves use 12.5"). -Pipe sections and bonus elbows all fit inside for transport. -Top is very thick to support cookware/prevent warping. -Huge glass door. -Thin but well designed folding legs. The cons are negligible and/or repairable. If you think of it as a rocket stove, it performs great with bonus ambience and portability. It will smoke out your indoor space if you don't time opening it right but once it's going, the exhaust is near nonexistent and it pumps out alot of "directional" heat fast. And it boils water fast with a kettle on top. Also like a rocket stove it likes basically just kindling rather than huge logs and won't do a slow smolder all night. It comes without a damper but sortof doesn't need one for what it does. I just use it for tailgating so far, I would try it in a van or a hot tent. The legs don't have anchor points but you could get creative. It stays very cool underneath and alot cooler on the backside. The top and bottom pipe section will turn red hot, this is normal and the diffuser will shoot fire(up to/less than 5 pipe sections, and it will tiki torch on you), also normal. So far I love it, it hasn't warped very much and is changing color nicely. Definitely meant to use for years to come. The airwall feature works pretty good, the bottom door vents aren't adjustable as someone mentioned but again, small kindling/rocket stove, not a cast iron potbelly. You see the air ignite the smoke though and the flames will dance along the glass, great ambience. Get one... ... show more

  • Stout
I would give this 5 stars but they forgot the assorted screws and nuts. Its a stout little stove appears to be well put together. It folds up nice with everything inside. 1 thing I loved was how it was packed, in a box completely surrounded by high density foam.

  • Needs improvement can kill you
Door is only bent and corners let smoke out should have been welded to seal it, door latch should be charged since it just a slit cut in the fire box that also let's smoke out, air inlet the slide is super loose they could have used longer screws and put washers in between the metal tighten it and not pinch it ... show more

  • simply the best
this is by far the best camping wood stove. I have 4 types of stoves but this one is the best. it has large burn chamber, true stainless steel which does not get rust. other units with metal alloy will rust. big glass with air curtain keeps glass free of soot. it top with double layer keeps it from heat deformation. it back has sort of chamber where it separates outer wall to chamber so that creates air flow. simply the best and good price. ... show more

  • Works great.
It’s tiny and if you add a extension for chimney then it works great. I like it a lot

  • It works
I live in my Airstream and needed a tiny wood stove because it turns out I'm sensitive to propane and it takes so much solar to heat with electric. I live at about six thousand feet elevation and it gets pretty cold. I looked at a lot and decided on this one. I needed a stainless steel stove because I'm sensitive to cast iron, and I needed a stove that wouldn't stand too far out from the wall,so this works great. I love to cook on it, a couple pieces of wood and it heats up very quickly. I love the glass door and it has a large ash box which none of the other stoves have. The reason for four stars is the open holes along the base of the door,it doesn't have a damper. I'll be putting screen or something over it because a couple times little live coals popped out so I have a fireproof blanket on the floor. I keep both dampers closed because otherwise it gets to much air. I'm planning on buying another to set up outside for summer cooking, and I'm also thinking about adding one in my exercise rv.I'm burning Aspen wood in it and it burns very clean. I did have to buy a chimney cap because it didn't come with one, it did come with a spark diffuser, but no cap, another reason for four stars. But other than that I love this little stove, I get a lot of compliments and my neighbor now wants a tiny stove in his rv ... show more
