I feel the overall quality could be a bit better but this is the second time I have purchased (used in two locations) this hose. It is very flexible when cold and does not expand when heated like cheaper cold water hoses. They tend to kink easily and could stand to have a little nicer end fittings. Only used over 3 weeks but no issues. The lightweight is most welcomed as all my other 50' and of course 100' hoses have far more heft. The black colored covers near ends are more plastic than rubber and rather thin - consider them more decoration than any real practical value and yeah no real need for hose-decor. Beyond the lightweight other pluses: less prone to tangle due to shape memory, sturdy brass couplings and arrived with extra washers. I got refunded for this although I don't remember requesting it. I used this hose for very very hot water coming out of solar water heater, and the hose performed very well. I used other hoses and they all failed, but this one is working and I would buy it again if needed. Very satisfied.
