I had a power steering leak on my Honda Civic, which got worse with the official Honda power steering fluid as it is a thinner mix than what I had been using...but I fixed it by coating the sliding part of the mechanism with Gorilla Clear Glue....no leaks anymore. All good.

    • best PS fluid for Hondas
i will not use other PS fluids for my honda cars. i own multiple hondas and this is what i use to replace the PS fluid. it even helped with a PS pump that was "whining" why save a buck when you can get the real stuff for your car. usually takes a couple bottles to do an entire PS fluid replacement.

I just bought a 2007 Honda Civic LX and the power steering fluid was a little low. Before adding PS fluid I checked and found that the majority of Honda owners and repair shops really stress using Honda Genuine PS fluid. Something about leaks and ruining seals, etc..., if you don't use Honda fluid. I don't know if that's true or not, but I figured, why chance it? Anyway this was a good deal for three bottles of Honda Genuine Fluid. Way more than I need, but maybe I'll flush the power steering system and replace all the fluid? If I do, I have more than enough PS fluid to replace the old stuff that comes out. ... show more

    • Fixed My Whining Power Steering
I used these to pull and flush the system. Took me about an hour with a turkey baster to pull the old, pour the new, and the pull the fluid out again. Repeat 2-3 times and your whining power steering will be gone. It’s been about 2 months no issues. Also it’s official Honda in case you were doubtful.
