  • Got this for a mini burner
Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Style: 28201
Purchased this for a mini burner. Thus burns great in the mini burner (CHGCRAFT 2 Sets Portable Metal Mini Alcohol Burner Lamp Aluminum Alloy Alcohol Stove with Cotton Cord for Household Outdoor Camping). If using Heat for a burner or stove make sure to use the yellow bottle not red. The picture is of the burner using Heat as the fuel. Boiled a camping coffee mug of water in under 7 minutes. Nice and hot. ... show more

  • Cheap insurance
Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Style: 28201
Gas doesn't freeze but water does. Ethanol will attract water, so it's something to consider if you live in areas where it gets well below freezing. These bottles are cheap and I'll always add a bottle to our tanks when it's expected to get below zero. I don't bother if it's going to be in the 20F+ range or above. I also add several bottles to my boat fuel tank each spring. It protects against freezing but also acts as a water remover. My boat tank is 100 gallons and stored in an insulated & heated pole barn, but through the season I'm sure it collects plenty of condensation. The #1 issue boat owners face is fuel related, and breaking down on the water is no fun. So again, cheap insurance. ... show more

  • Works Well In Alcohol Stoves - Good Value
Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Style: 28201
The yellow Heet bottles work really well in my alcohol camp stoves and lab burners. ISO Heet and grain alcohol do seem to burn a teensy bit hotter, but the methanol in the yellow Heet bottles is WAY cheaper per volume and works fine for my applications. It's not sooty, there aren't any gross fumes, and it's cheap. I do still pack Esbit, and I occasionally use Sterno, but use them far less often than the Heet. ... show more

  • Solved my problem with water in fuel - boat motor
Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Style: 28201
I’m using this stuff for my boat motor. Outboard Yamaha 200. I’ve been battling an issue with condensation in the fuel tank, which eventually makes its way to the motor, and the end result is not good. I’m located in the SC Lowcountry so you can imagine how humid it gets here. I was advised by multiple mechanics who specialize in marine motors, they said to not waste my time trying troubleshoot bc I’ll probably never determine why it keeps happening (we have ruled out water intrusion - it is definitely condensation forming in the fuel tank). Instead, they advised to start using this fuel treatment on a regular basis. On average, I add 2 bottles per month. More during the hot humid months, less during the winter. And guess what. Problem solved. At $2 per bottle, I feel like this is a deal of a lifetime. Getting stranded bc of stalling due to water in the fuel is NOT an enjoyable experience. Trust me. This stuff is a life saver. ... show more
