I Googled what type transmission fluid Toyota/Scion recommended for the 2006 Scion xB because the owners manual nor the transmission dipstick says anything... TV-IV is what it takes and that's what I'll refill the transmission with since my Scion xB has close to 222,000 miles on the odometer and the looks of the original transmission fluid started turning brown. I drained the old fluid and changed the filter and refilled with this type. Other than having a peace of mind knowing that the fluid has been changed, the transmission seems to perform slightly better than usual. I must've been as blind as Mr Magoo!
