Description

The requirement for higher performance transmissions lubricants has increased considerably in recent years due to the introduction of new and sophisticated transmission systems. The transmission fluid serves as a hydraulic fluid, a heat transfer fluid and lubricating fluid. Over time, varnish and sticky residue (station) can form inhibiting the performance of the fluid. Our high performance ester formula is a unique lubricity and cleaning agent, that tenaciously attaches itself to all metal parts that it comes in contact with inside the transmission. The strong polarity pulls deposits off the metal surfaces and puts them back into solution. The metal in a transmission is nearly always positively charged while Shift Restore is negatively charged. Attachment of a thin layer of Shift Restore to all metals is natural and not dependent upon temperature, pressure or anything else. An added benefit is a reduction in temperature due to less friction on the critical moving parts.

I’m So So So happy! I put 5 ounces of shift restore in my F1 transmission, and within 30 miles, all of my shifts were smooth and the grinding between shifts are completely gone. Shifting perfect! The car drives like a brand new vehicle. I was hesitant to try this product, so I reached out to the manufacture and told them that I had a Ferrari with an F1 transmission (basically a manual gearbox with a paddle shift mechanism). It had sat for awhile, and the clutch plates had developed an issue, and I wanted to make sure that this product would not cause any damage to the brass synchros or any other internals of the transmission. I received a quick reply from Logan who reassured me that Shift Restore would have no issues with my application. RESULTS: I couldn’t be happier! The previous owner sold me a lemon with transmission full of antifreeze. It had been sitting in the gearbox for who knows how long (due to failed heat exchanger). The shift restore freed up the rusty clutch plates and got everything working smoothly again. When I would wind up the car and shift at high RPM's the clutch would give me a little trouble shifting gears, but now all the shifts are crisp and smooth. I am truly impressed and very grateful.     • SHOCKED! BEST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED!

At my age and all the many additives I have used over the years, this stuff works as never before expected. The improvement is very noticeable in just a few miles after adding to trans. In fact if it improves the old trans this much I am thinking of drinking a few oz myself, (joke)

    • Nissan Frontier with slight shudder and slipping.

Hard to believe but it truly works. I had a slight shudder and slipping between gears. Put it in after trans fluid change, and drove around for 40 minutes. While driving shifts got better. Parked and went in for a couple hours and drove it 10 miles to the store for a few things. Shudder is gone, shifts great, and no codes. Absolutely would suggest this. ... show more

I bought this for my 2014 Sentra, changed the filter and transmission fluid and added 8 ounces of this and it shifts so much better and does not appear to be overheating, too soon to tell this is day 1! The cap was busted off of the bottle when received, luckily the seal was still intact and didn’t leak out but no way to preserve it with a broken cap. ... show more

    • Worth a try and not snake oil

The products at Walmart are universally scams. I have tried enough of them. This one was used by working truck drivers and I planned to use it on a recently-acquired diesel towing rig. Owners of older gasoline automobiles have used this product successfully on vehicles decades older than mine. I was surprised by a shifting problem on my wife's Subaru Outback. The transmission of 1997 had been rebuilt at about 200,000 miles but survived to 450,000 miles through diligent changes to the ATF. Modern synthetic ATF is amazing, but the recent slippage at heavy throttle when the transmission downshifts from 4th to 3rd could be due to wear or to a sticky actuator. This is a "Hail Mary" to avoid another rebuild on a vehicle going toward 500,000 miles. Since this product may need 500 miles to work, I will update this with the results. ... show more

    • I was skeptical, now I'm a believer!

Prior to adding the shift restore, my 2016 F250 (6.7l) was having some pretty strange and hard shifting, particularly between 2nd and 3rd gear. It would happen randomly, but sometimes felt like someone was hitting the transmission with a sledge hammer. So, I decided to try the shift restore. Around 145K miles, I drained the old fluid, dropped the pan, replaced the filter and added the fluids including the shift restore. I drove for a while (month or so) and gradually noticed that the odd 2nd and 3rd gear shifting had completely disappeared. All of the shifts (1-6) were smooth again, like the day I bought the truck. I was really skeptical about adding this to the transmission, but really happy I did. I'll be adding another one next transmission oil change for sure. Just keep in mind, it doesn't work immediately, you need to drive for a while before you notice the improvements. ... show more

    • It did not fix my problem but..

Ok it did not fix my CVT transmission problem, (not down shifting at acceleration), but it is much slightly smoother at low speeds. I drained out the same amount of fluid and then added this in, and I will drive a hundred miles and see, but I also will try a transmission speed sensor. - A full transmission replacement is about $5,000, Thank you ... show more
