Best pillow that I've ever had. However, there seems to be a very thin plastic liner inside of the outer cotton liner. It's crinkle type noisy lasted a week or so... Maybe that's to keep the feathers in but with time, that noise goes away and the result is great. I've had no major issues with feathers poking me or falling out. A few fall out. Perhaps 1 per month. With Down pillows, that has to be expected. Much better than what I had and not bad for the price. Comfortable, soft yet firm enough to provide good support for a side/stomach sleeper. The fill is sufficient and and any more fill would be too much. It will bunch up "a little" after a few nights but a shake (10 seconds) and slap fluffs it right up. All pillows do that. I've had the down substitute pillows that ball up into one corner of the sack. Those are "throw away" pillows. This is Nothing like those! It's actually great! ... show more

I followed the instructions for preparing the pillows. While they feel soft to the touch, it felt like my head was resting on bricks. I prefer firm pillows, but this is too much. These pillows are also heavy.

I read many reviews on these pillows and read several complaints on feathers poking out and being too firm. I do not have any of these issues. The pillow are soft, fluffy just like the Hilton style hotel collection. They are excellent quality for the value. I will be ordering 2 more. While I detected no odor at all on opening these up and they plump up when exposed to air for a few hours, they do not stay plump and become flat very quickly when your head has been lying on one or two of them for only a few minutes. Even after tossing them in the dryer for 3 minutes, they will become much fuller but they don't stay that way for long. If you enjoy, as I do, a pillow that REMAINS plump and even semi-firm, without requiring you to repeatedly "plump up the volume" of the inner material, this is not the pillow you want, soft and malleable though they are. Considering that the fill is goose feathers and down vs. "alternative" down which is usually 100% polyester, the price for these two pillows is very good.
