The media could not be loaded. I waited so I could use it until I made my review. I am happy to say I have made 4 pitchers of delicious iced tea with zero problems of any kind. It’s true, as others have pointed out, that the tea maker isn’t super high quality as far as its construction goes, it’s cheap plastic but it works and I am not unhappy with the purchase so far. The tea tastes excellent, it makes tea super quickly, I have used teabags and even added a little iced tea mix from Lipton that I poured right over the tea bags and not a trace of it was left in the filter basket after brewing. I was so happy that this item arrived in a box and everything was there. Prior to this purchase I bought a Mr Coffee Iced Tea Maker from 2 different places, Amazon and Walmart. The Amazon merchant just threw the tea maker in a box with no manual, no pitcher, I think it may have been used, I was outraged, so I tried Walmart, they sent it in the original manufacturers box but when I opened it once again no pitcher! Couldn’t believe it happened twice so I was nervous when I got this one but at last, I found a tea maker!! It’s super easy to make tea. The pitcher is ok, it will hold more tea if you follow the instructions, I fill the pitcher to the water line to pour the water into the reservoir, I then fill a little past the water line and add ice cubes to the ice line when putting the pitcher into the machine to make the tea and get a very full pitcher. I am hoping this one will last me some time, so far so good! Unless you like really strong tea I wouldn’t recommend going by their instructions for the tea bags, I put 5 regular bags in and it was very dark, strong tea, they say to use 6-9 regular bags! Now I use 3 regular sized black tea bags and toss in a cinnamon blend regular sized tea bag for flavor and a little of the iced tea mix that is a powder with lemon flavor, it suits me perfectly. ... show more

We drink refrigerated tea daily. This is so simple and works great! Definitely recommend. We don't add the ice at the time of making. I make 1.5 pitchers for my gallon pitcher I keep in the fridge. Easy to clean.

I have been using tea maker for about 2 months and it wooks as it should; however this week the carafe developed a small crack in the center of the bottom and it's steadily getting bigger. I will just have to use a different carafe.

Works just fine. Replaces a Mr. Coffee that worked for 20 years but was getting flaky lately. We use the 1 gallon Lipton teabags. it takes 6 brewings to entirely use up the goodness in the teabag. It took 4 with the Mr. Coffee, which It seems has 50% bigger capacity per brew cycle. This brewer is much easier to fill the fresh water chamber to the full line. We used to put the Mr. Coffee on a towel as when you overfilled it ( by accident ), the excess water would run all over the countertop. Not this one - it is great. This brewer also looks very nice on the counter with the existing coffee brewers. Yes, there are multiple coffee brewing appliances there too. My wife, the owner of this new brewer has proclaimed it shall never have one flake of coffee in it - even though that is a listed capability. ... show more

I use the gallon bag of lipton and this tea maker is easy and the tea tastes good. I make 2 pitchers off the gallon bag putting the first at half strength and the second a bit higher. The only issue I've had is the top lid don't want to shut all the way and it keeps popping up about half an inch but it don't effect the functionality of the machine. All in all I'd buy it again when it's time. NOTE: I used to buy the Mr. Coffee tea maker before they changed/screwed up the tea maker. I loved the old Mr. Coffee tea maker a lot but the new one didn't work well and is a hassle to use. I switched to this because even though it's more expensive it works the same as the Mr. Coffee tea maker used to. I like it and haven't had any issues with it so far and I've had it for a few months now. ... show more

This replaced a tried and true iced tea maker I had for 15 years, and I was skeptical that it could brew iced tea as well as my old dinosaur maker. But this one is more than up to the task. Tea brews quickly and being able to control the intensity of the brew allows me to make the perfect batch. It's fairly compact and doesn't take up too much counter space. I knew this would be different than my old Mr. Tea, but thought we'd take a chance on it. Where my old one would perculate hot water over the tea and it would sit there until so much water filled up to a drip hole at the top of the tea bag holder that it would then drip into the pitcher, this one is more like those hotel coffee makers. There is an internal water arm that swings over the tea bag area. It does spray out in multiple streams and not just one place, but then the tea immediately goes into the pitcher instead of steeping for any time. Having said all of that, it does brew okay. I find that I put 3 large tea bags in, fill the water to the top of the window (above the max line), then when it is done, I fill it up again to at least the max line and brew it again. My biggest issue with this unit is actually the pitcher itself. The lid doesn't fit very tight and the pouring slots in it are small, so the when I'm pouring, I have to hold the lid or it will come out. Had it happen twice before I realized what was happening. I'm use to just tipping the pitcher with the liquid stopped by the lid and pouring through the spout, here you almost have to just tilt it just enough for the tea to go to the slots and no more than that. Any back pressure on the lid and it pops out. I'm just used to filling up a glass of tea one handed (cup in one, pitcher in the other), and keeping the lid on takes too long, so I've actually just transferred the tea to my old pitcher and I don't even use this one to store tea. ... show more
