  • HobbyZone RC Airplane AeroScout S 2 1.1m RTF Basic (Battery and Charger Not Included)
Excellent flyer. A few of my friends had this and I thought it would make a excellent FPV airplane. I was right. It is so smooth and stable. I use it for FPV flying,,,,, what fun,, just like being in a airplane.

  • Great plane
This is a great plane. I recommend getting the software and learning to fly on your computer first. My 11 year old son crashed numerous times to the extent he broke the nose completely off. We hot glued it back together and he has been flying it ever since. He has now advanced from beginner mode to intermediate. I highly recommend this plane! ... show more

  • Easy to fly ... but can do aerobatics.
All the reviews are exceptionally good for this airplane and rightfully so. Well designed RTF and easy on your budget. It is very stable for the beginner but when in full enable mode is plenty aerobatic for the experienced flier. In beginner mode you line it up with runway, cut the power, and with very little input from the pilot it softly lands. The Specktrum transmitter and receiver that comes with this set is really nice. I dont see how they sell it so cheap. If this is your first RC airplane you will be very happy you bought it. Dont forget the 3S battery and a good charger. ... show more

  • Good trainer.
Easy to fly. I do recommend getting a Flight Sim program to familiarize yourself with RC controls, especially when flying back toward yourself. I crashed three times before I wised up and got a Flight Sim Program (RealFlight Evolution RC Flight Simulator Software) . I was able to repair one but the other two required replacement. NOT THE PLANE's FAULT! ... show more

  • one awesome beginner aircraft
I love this plane and learned to fly on one before. I believe it should be everyone's first Hobbygrade rc plane of size. it can handle wind very well and is easy to repair if you do have a crash. the assembly is very easy and took me no more than about 30 min. You can remove the wings easily for transport if needed. One thing of note: The battery connector is EC3. So if you have batteries already like I do you might want to purchase connectors EC3 to whatever connector type you have so you can connect your batteries instead of having to purchase more. Or if you know what you are doing you can change the connector. I do but I still chose just to get adapters for my batteries. Awesome 1st RC plane!!! ... show more

  • Be aware of FAA regulations that will cost you extra 100 usd
I just received my RC plane. It's beautiful, very well packed and almost ready to fly. They mention that you need only the battery. But since January 15, 2021 there is a FAA rule requiring Remote Identification of Unmanned Aircraft. The compliance of the rule was extended until March 16, 2024. To be able to fly your RC plane after that date you will need to install a Transmitter (Sky Remote ID Module) that HobbyZone sells for extra 99.99 USD. The regulation is published since 2021, but there is no mention of it in the Amazon advertisement or in the HobbyZone webpage. They had 2 year to comply with this regulations in the product. This information should be very clear everywhere with a bundle to buy the transmitter with a discount or the transmitter should already heve been incorporated in the airplane electronics. ... show more

  • RTF = Ready to fly ? NOT
If someone like me buys a trainer RC airplane, it's probably because he doesn't have much experience with RCs... So, this someone looks for RTFs (so called Ready To Fly RC airplanes). They cannot even glide as you need to purchase a battery and a charger. Oh... there is also a little bit of assembly, but it's ready to fly, as advertised. Yeah, right ! When you look at the bad reviews for the Spektrum batteries and chargers, you look for better ratings. When they arrive, they do not fit your Hobbyzone Scout. Ayayayayayaya... Now, how dumb can a management be for not offering a genuine "Ready To Fly" airplane ? The little assembly is no big deal and there is a great video to help but having to go through unnecessary aggravation to complete the "Not Ready To Fly" airplane is very deceiving. Update : I received a Spektrum Charger and a couple of Spektrum batteries... Guess what : they don't fit ! After 4 returns, I decided that enough was enough. I am so fed up with Hobbyzone that I returned the whole package : airplane, charger and batteries. They don't deserve my money. One of the worst buying experience I have had especially for something that is supposed to be fun. ... show more
