We recently bought the hitch bike rack with cargo basket, and we are very happy with it. The assembly was quick and easy, took us 20 minutes. It is very sturdy, made of thick metals, although it does have a bit of heft around about 50 pounds. Our bikes fit well on the rack, with the additional support of bike pole and straps, we feel pretty safe about it. the switch from cargo basket to bike rack was pretty easy, no need of tools, that's a plus.     • Works great for transporting deer
I saw this on vine and figured it'd be a fantastic way to transport deer during hunting season without getting the back of my vehicle dirty. It's a bit bulky, which is has to be to carry E-bikes like it's designed. It was pretty easy to assemble and is plenty sturdy. It's rated to carry up to 500lbs so I'll not have to worry about going past that with any hunt I ever go on. It's actually very convenient to have. I'm sure it would work fine for its intended purpose, but it works great for what I'm using it for. I do think the price tag is a bit high currently, which I think is one of the only downsides. ... show more

This is really nice and well built. It's big enough to put 1 bike and still have about a foot wide by the length of the cargo rack for storage area. Easily swivels up and down when opening a SUV hatch. Use the hitch Locking device to keep the rack from moving around in the hitch while driving and to keep it stable. We were very disappointed when we first tried to mount our heavy ebikes onto the rack. The spaces for the wheels don't adjust width wise. The center pole for securing the bikes was wobbly. The rack itself wobbled side to side more than we were comfortable with. The tie down straps that came with the rack were poor quality. After a lot of trial and error, and time, we found ways to make it more secure. We velcroed each bike tire to the floor of the rack, put extra bolts in the center pole so it is snug and doesn't move (it will not lay flat now unless we remove the bolts), added turn buckles between the hitch and rack for extra stability, and used different / stronger tie down straps. The rubber fell off one of the center hooks the first time we used it. We put a piece of foam on the crossbar and that solved the problem. We plan to transport our ebikes long distances so we need a secure and safe way to transport them. With all of our modifications we feel much better about it. ... show more

    • No way I would use this product to haul bikes.
I bought this product to haul two heavy e-bikes weighing about 200 pounds. The product is heavy and a pain to put together. The hauler sits very far off the back of the vehicle. The center vertical piece is wobbly and does not seem substantial enough to hold the bikes upright. The whole product is a bit wobbly hanging off the back of my truck. There is no way I would trust hauling heavy bikes using this product. I have basically wasted $300. Just my opinion. ... show more

For my needs in particular this works really well. It came very well packed and secured and had all the correct pieces and Hardware to get it fully assembled. It took my husband no time to get it assembled and mounted. My one qualm with this is that it does seem a little wobbly. Don't get me wrong the materials feel very heavy duty and well made. But once you get it attached it does seem like it could wobble a little and it sticks out a little farther from the vehicle than I would like as well. It does have a pretty good strap link and everything fit as it was supposed to. This is really a great design, I would just love to see them bring it in closer to the vehicle and solidify it a little more so it isn't as wobbly. Overall I am still happy with it for what I need it for but I could see how if you had a heavier bike or multiple bikes that it might make you nervous to use. Overall I still feel like it's a pretty good value for your money if you are using it like I am. Just be sure you review all the measurements and make sure it's a good fit before you purchase. ... show more
