I’m a senior and wanted something easy to install on the roof of my Camry for my kayak. Installation took only a few minutes. Likewise securing the kayak was simple. The straps inside the car could be annoying but I dealt with that by changing the placement of the pads and adjusting my seat. The material used for the pads is excellent and seems to be very durable. . Almost a heavy canvas like material. There are clips at both ends of the pads to ensure that the pads never accidentally fall off while driving. The tie down straps included are much wider and heavier than I thought they would be. They seem very strong. The only thing that I would like improved is the Velcro attachment underneath the pads is facing the wrong direction and it catches wind dirt and bugs as it goes down the road. Easy solution is to put the pads on backwards so that the writing is facing backwards. But then it looks awkward. The backwards velcro enclosure is the reason why I did not give a five-star rating. ... show more

The HEYTRIP soft roof rack worked perfectly. The two sections were easy to install. The front and rear straps worked perfectly on our Ford Flex and prevented front to rear movement or frint lift. The soft roof rack supported our kayak, without damaging the roof, at highway speeds between Phoenix and Lake Havasu City. A couple of suggestions. 1. Before installing these on the car, lay them out on the car, put the kayak, paddleboard, etc. in them and determine the best routing for the tie down straps. Route these straps before installing the roof racks onto the vehicle. 2. All straps and tie downs had a slight stretch to them. I suggest that after install and loaded, you drive 20-25 miles, and retightened. If you are traveling at highway speeds, do this a 2nd time about 50 miles after the first retightening. These are a great value! ... show more

Works well if you dont have a roof rack but can possibly be a bit in the way if your a taller person when you run the straps through the car.
