I absolutely love this product. My child’s room is in the front of the house where a window faces the street. It’s very easy to see in and out whether it be day or night so I bought this product for their privacy. It was pretty simple to attach the film to the window. Just measure, cut, add water to area and place the product down. There are some pieces that are overlapping each other but it’s not really a big deal since it’s really for the privacy. There were air bubbles, mostly around the edges, but that was easily handled with a squeegee. I also love that it’s temporary and can be easily removed if needed. ... show more

I have a window in my living room on the side of my house that faces my neighbors house, and I keep several plants in front of it because it gets the most sun. I don't like to pull the blinds on that window every night because I often forget to open them before work, and then the plants don't get the sun, but I hate the thought of anyone looking in and seeing me if I don't, especially at night. I bought this type of window film so I could still see out with the window open, but my neighbors couldn't see in, and I wouldn't have to worry about closing the blinds nightly and opening them again every morning. It works fine for this and was easy to apply, but it is tinted, so my living room is significantly darker with the film up and my plants don't get as much sun as they did prior. It's very noticeable and casts a pall on my living room during the day, making the room appear colder; it just doesn't feel as cheerful and cozy in the room as it used to without the sun streaming in! For that reason, I'm not sure if I will keep it up or not, but this has to do with my personal preference more than the product itself. I bought another style of cling for my bedroom window too, with a stained glass type pattern, but I don't feel that I get any less light with that one, although I can't see out the window either.     • Perfect for my bathroom window

My bathroom window looks right into my neighbor's house, so when I moved in I knew this was the first window I needed to cover. I wasn't ready to commit to a shade or curtain, and I didn't want to lose the natural light, so this was the perfect option. My installation wasn't perfect - there are a few bubbles, but I find I only really see those at night. During the day, the natural light masks my mistakes pretty well. I'm really happy I went with this. I know the film will come off really easy if I want a more permanent solution later, but in the meantime it gives me the privacy I was looking for without sacrificing the natural light the window provides. ... show more

READ FOR TIPS: First off, this thing works as you can see in the 1st picture. I installed it by myself, just one person and no previous experience. The product comes with very clear instructions, it's not hard. Tips: 1. I recommend doing this at night time or when the windows are cool. I installed one at night (went on no issues), and the other during the hot morning (the soapy water kept drying and the film was not as easy to work with, plus you have the sun in your face). 2. When it comes to the soapy water, be generous! Like dripping down the window generous. 3. You definitely need a squeegee, or in my case, I used a small plastic ruler, worked just fine, but don't do it without it, it won't work. 4. I didn't peel the whole piece of film at once cause it kept rolling on itself. So I would peel about 7-8 inches, add soapy water to it, and place it on the window, then I would keep rolling it down while adding the water. Once placed, squeeze with the squeegee right down the center of the window top to bottom, that's gonna hold it in place, and now you can continue "squeegeeing" out all the excess water and taking out all the bubbles. 5. GIVE IT TIME TO CLEAR. When it's first done it will look foggy, because of the soap and water. Let it dry overnight, it will clear up. 6. As you can see in the 2nd picture, my windows have some imperfections that I thought were going to create bubbles, but they don't. Just make sure to squeeze really well when applying. 7. Lastly, I bought the lightest film and I like the amount of light that still comes in the room, and I can definitely feel the difference in temperature. I would say about an 80% improvement in terms of heat coming in. If you take the time to do things correctly, this product is definitely a win. ... show more

First of all, I really like the product itself. Feels durable and relatively "easy" to install. I bought this to use on a bedroom window. My window is close to other units and wanted a way to allow light to get in without being seen by peering eyes. This works perfectly in that sense. It allows a lot of natural light which I love. My only issue is with the "easy" I referenced earlier. The product install is pretty straightforward. First separate film from backing. This step was tedious getting a corner separated, but not hard. Measuring, cutting, placing on window was as expected, again, not hard. The reason I used quote is I did everything instructions and reviews said to do. I covered 3 windows but everyone one had a few bubbles. I don't know if it's just me but it feels like it would be close to impossible to put on without bubbles. That being said, the bubble are only visible at night. During the day it looks perfect. I would think twice if you were putting this in an area guests would see if that bothers you. I still use my blinds at night so I am not bothered by the bubbles. Plus, it's a trade off for paying a fraction of what it would cost if I hired someone to install. ... show more
