  • Really great trim saw for small rocks
Style: Two 6" Diamond Saw Blades & Vise Att...
This Hi-Tech Diamond 6” trim saw arrived well packed and was easy to put together and learn to use. It is definitely a great addition to my rock collecting hobby. Now I can see what is inside my rocks as well a trim them down to use for jewelry making! This saw was an excellent choice for my shop as it doesn’t take too much room on the workbench nor does the spray go everywhere when used. There is definitely spray from the water on the blade, but is directional and easily cleaned. It would be nice if the water basin for the saw had a drain plug, but I can scoop out most of the dirty water and dry the rest of the basin with an old shop towel for a relatively quick cleanup. ... show more

  • I love my lil trim saw
Style: Two 6" Diamond Saw Blades & Vise Att...
Honestly this was probably one of the best investments I have made on myself regarding lapidary work. It's lightweight, you can use it inside during the winter because the sound really isn't that loud going through walls. When you're done using it, it's light enough to just carry it outside to dump the water and clean it. A 6" saw seems like the ideal size to do anything in jewelry size, cutting geodes, cutting a small window into the face of one of your pieces, etc. Lots of utility in this. Highly recommend if you're looking to buy your first lapidary trim saw. Very minimal danger or any risk using this. Get this instead of a tile saw. ... show more

  • Great buy
Style: Two 6" Diamond Saw Blades & Vise Att...
This little saw is awesome! I get so frustrated when buying lapidary equipment that there’s no reviews. I’m bad at reviewing but I’ll do my best. It came quick. Great packaging. Super easy to set up. There’s informational videos online. They have great customer service. I always have to talk to people otherwise I have a hard time understanding. It cuts great! So far we’ve cut Oregon fire opal. An Australian opal. Some pet wood. We plan on more! ... show more

  • Design
Style: Two 6" Diamond Saw Blades & Vise Att...
Splash guard is not good enough to me, and the sawblade not sure if that has enough diamonds coating on it. The design should need a direct drain hole to be able for a hose connection.

  • Great saw for turquoise
Style: Two 6" Diamond Saw Blades
It’s a great trim saw for lapidary work on turquoise. I did have to loosen and adjust the arbor that holds the saw blade so it would fit through the lid without rubbing but that was no big deal. With this kind of saw, you must dump the water when you’re done. It’s made for that. If you don’t like having to carry the whole saw to the sink or the yard to dump it, this probably isn’t for you. You can always put some water based saw lube in it if you prefer to leave the water sitting in it, but it will be full of mud and I just don’t like that. Be aware that the saw blade does shift a bit when you’re cutting your slabs or rough. I didn’t buy the guide for this saw because my friend has it on hers and she said it’s completely pointless since the blade shifts when cutting. If you want that kind of precision, you should probably invest in a higher tech saw. I didn’t use the included saw blades but bought one that was recommended by a master Lapidarist. The MK-303 diamond saw which is 0.5mm thick with a 5/8 arbor is perfect for cutting turquoise and it fits this saw. ... show more
