    • Easy to install and easy to use!
I love how easy it is to put my iPhone into and out of this holder. I place it on the bottom "shelf" and then squeeze the two "wings" together to close them around the sides of the phone. To remove it, I just push the little button on the back (at the top) and those "wings" snap out of the way.

Update*** the company reached out after my review became public and gave me a refund. I believe it's because they are a good company and know it's not their fault or mine that it didn't work, the elements were against us.*** It didn't stay locked in place, had to adjust it many times and I've only had it about 6 months. It dropped my phone a couple of times. The heat must have melted the rubbed holders because one of them won't stay in and is basically broken. I wish it was better but I have to replace it now. ... show more

    • Missing part made product useless [update]
The box was missing the part that attaches to the vent, so only the phone holder was present. Fortunately I had another phone holder and the swivel ball from that unit fit into this new unit. Based on the description of this product, it sounds like the connection to the vent is more secure than the other model I purchased years ago (I wouldn't know since that part was missing), but the phone holding part worked very well. Great price if you happen to get both parts! [Update Jan. 6, 2024] The seller contacted me and offered a full refund or a replacement - I chose the replacement which arrived today.     • I like it.
So installation wasn’t as easy as I was hoping. There is a dial on the back of it that you have to twist to lock it in place. Which is a little awkward because you have to hold the device with one hand while using the other hand to turn the dial. There also isn’t much room between the dial and where you’re putting it on the vents. So I found myself paying more attention to the dial and less to the positioning while I was turning the dial. Which prevented me from getting it locked into place the first time. Once I got it into place I really like it. One thing I found is you have to squeeze the sides really hard, even after it looks like it has stopped, you need to still squeeze it a couple more clicks because otherwise it’ll be loose. But it is actually easy to put the phone in the cradle and to release it. It releases with a little button on the back of it. The base of the cradle where the bottom of the phone goes doesn’t lock very well but it moves really easy. As long as you’ve got the sides locked into place fully, that’s not too much of an issue but if you don’t lock the sides properly your phone might slip a little bit. Always have to make sure that it’s locked into place properly but from there it’s really nice and it is convenient and it holds my phone great. It will take a regular phone case but if you have one of the ones that has the cover that goes over the screen and while you’re driving you usually put it back behind across the camera and put it in, it doesn’t hold that kind of a phone case/cover very well. I was able to get it to hold but it wasn’t very strong hold so I actually have a basic case that I use with this holder. Just had to learn it a bit. I do recommend this one. ... show more
