For reference, the cat front and center is just under 7lbs. Exactly as advertised in terms of measurements and easy to assembly, not sure how it woukd work with really large cats. It is nice and tall to give the kitties a place to sit high above and observe. Fabric is soft, will see how well it holds up. as crazy as it sounds… took me weeks of adding different cat trees to my cart and comparing so i could get the one best suited for my crew. this one is perfect! my big 22lb guy has no problem jumping right into the hammock and the others have their spots as well. i keep right in the front window so they can be part of the action outside; and we do have my adopted kittens mommy and daddy living outside where they can all keep an eye on each other. my family even got same one for their house, but they do not trust it standing alone and have it up against the wall. and like i mentioned, definitely sturdy enough for my 22pounder!! it has been a couple years now and is holding up good, although some of the rope from scratching has come off.. as to be expected. this is very easy to put together too… ... show more

All the parts are clearly labeled, they fit perfectly together, the instructions are quite clear, and my cats have spent the first two days climbing all over it and hanging out in the condos and hammocks. This is probably the best cat tree I've ever given them. My only complaint is that it isn't sturdy enough on its own; it needs some kind of weight on the base, or for you to use the included wall anchor (with plastic drywall anchor piece, too). If something goes wrong with it I will come back and update this review, but if this isn't update assume it's doing great. ... show more

I love the size, the double house, the oversized basket, and the triple tower. It was not difficult to put together. What I do not like is how thin the material of the house walls are. They tend to wear and eventually get holes. Also, some of the screws were the wrong size, but I made it work. I also did not care for how the small latter was angled, but I made that work as well. I also think the rope for the scratching post could be reinforced better But overall, my cats are happy and therefore so am I ... show more

    • Great Cat Tree - But May Not Be Good for All Large Cats

I LOVE this cat tree. The instructions were well organized and easy to follow. I like that they give you (1) extra screw for each set needed and (2) replacement dangle toys. But two things to watch out for. 1) As the instructions state, you are going to need to use the stabilizer ribbon attached to a screw in the wall. It's tall, so it's top heavy. 2) For large cats ... I question if this is really a good tower for them. I would say if your large cat is very agile (he/she can squeeze into and/or through tight places), then it would probably work. I had two cats I wanted to enjoy this tower. One is small and will love it!! But the other is a larger cat, blind in one eye, and is always getting her claws stuck in things. I don't see her being able to negotiate this tree. And the hammock on the very bottom — although adorable — is really sized for a kitten or small cat. The middle hammock though is very large and would accommodate most cats. All in all I am very pleased with this tower. A lot of thought went into the architecture. ... show more

It was easy to assemble and looks gorgeous! I will say it’s a little wobbly if unsecured, using the included hardware to secure to the wall is probably your best bet if you have a heavy cat or multiple cats.

The tree is nice, don't get me wrong. It is pretty sturdy and very soft. My cats love the beds at the top, however the only way they can really get to the top is if I put them there. The large middle hammock leaves maybe two inches for them to try to squeeze through to get to into it or to anything above it. Even without it there, the platforms are nearly directly above each other on the same side so they have no space to really climb to the next one up or jump to it. They have to grab it with Claws and pull themselves up if they wanted to WITHOUT that big hammock. The top is also a little crowded for them. The poles that hold the beds don't leave a lot of room for adult cats to maneuver or at least my cats. It's overall just a little too cramped for the size of my cats. Also while assembling it, some of the holes in the wood had no precut holes in the fabric so it was a little tough to get some of the bolts in. No big deal but definately something to be aware of. ... show more
