I've been using two of the outdoor smart plugs for about two months at this point. One works flawlessly and the other now keeps dropping its connection. I've reset it five times. I've reconnected it to the Smart Life app. I've reconnected it tot he Alexa app. And it keeps dropping after attempting to use voice control through Alexa. The one that keeps dropping its connection is actually closer to the wifi router (only about 20 feet away), so I know it's not a proximity issue. Oddly, it also worked flawlessly for almost two months and now started to flake out on me. I'm sadly passed the return date. ... show more

This device works as intended. I have two outdoor oscillating fans under a pergola which I connected to these devices (purchased and use two of these). I then linked these not only to the recommended app, but to my Amazon Alexa. Now, we can turn on the fans from inside before coming outside (the fans ward off insects). These always power up as intended. While these are under a pergola roof, they are at each end and therefore get exposed to the elements, and yet still works as designed, months after installing. I would buy again. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a bit on the bulky side, and I had to manipulate my outdoor outlets to fit with the cover in place. ... show more

Came without instructions. Manufacturers website was hopelessly slow. Find U-Tube "how-to" videos annoying and invariably one step different from what works for me. My SmartLife iPhone app would not connect to the device. Finally got a person at the manufacturer who said use TuyaSmart instead. This eventually worked in auto but not manual mode. This device looks solid, but it doesn't connect with the app (SmartLife) given in the (inadequate) documentation or on the video (Tuya SmartLife) mostly because it's not one of the devices shown by either (apparently identical) app. THESE THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE EASY! This one is worse than hard; it just doesn't connect. I'd give negative stars if I could. I have integrated a couple of dozen similar pieces of equipment, and this one looked well made. I bought four of these to control my Christmas lights and landscape lighting. I had all of these setup, and connected to Alexa in less than 15 minutes. My house is 4500 square feet with 8 inch thick exterior walls with granite stone on my exterior walls, and there was no range connectivity issues via Wi-Fi. There’s no delay at all when I press the button on my phone to turn them all on. The plug cord works well with my outdoor plug cover door, and you can add a splitter to this plug to allow multiple connections. You can’t beat this product. ... show more

Awesome product, works exactly as described and connected to my wifi and Alexa with no issues. I would recommend this product but only to those with some knowledge of connecting wirelessly to wifi and Alexa. I love using Alexa to turn on my lights and amaze my kids.
