My usually healthy hair was feeling abnormally dry and coarse this summer. My hair is short, naturally gray but demi-permanently colored, wavy to almost curly, and low porosity. I don't know what caused the sudden dryness--maybe the weather?--but two uses of Olaplex 3, 4, 5 brought back my hair's softness, body, and shine. I like the fragrance too. It is natural and not sweet. After your hair dries the mild fragrance that remains just smells clean. Though the bottles in this kit are small, a little product goes a long way, especially the shampoo. After two treatments, the bottles barely look used. The amount used, of course, will vary by length and hair type. I had never tried Olaplex products before, only read about them. My hair is curly and temperamental. I’ve been wanting to try Olaplex for a while, but hated the thought of shelling out that much money. This set was perfect because I got try 3 products for the price of 1. As far as the products themselves, they work great. I tried all 3 at once and had the best hair day of my life. The shampoo and conditioner are much thicker than what I usually use, which means I need to use a lot less! I used about 1/4 of the amount as my normal shampoo and conditioner and it was more than enough. The scent is very pleasant, subtle, fresh, and clean smelling. It’s not perfumey, which is great because many scents trigger migraines for me.
