This didn't fit my particular model (John Deere Z525E), but I was able to drill my own holes. But, this thing is so well designed. It's a solid, strong piece of metal and the magnetic pin is crazy strong. We'll done!!

I installed this hitch on my John Deere Z720e. The slots lined up perfectly with the existing bolts and it attached easily in less than five minutes. It seems to be well-made, the fit and finish is good. The included magnetic hitch pin was a nice touch. My only complaint is that although this hitch is green, it's not John Deere green. After looking at it for a moment I got out the rattle can and spray painted mine to match the mower. It's a little thing, but JD green paint is readily available. The hitch is well made and very sturdy. I have a John Deere Z315E zero turn and I was able to mount it in about 30 minutes with a couple of modifications. First, I went to Lowes and bought (2) 3/8 x 3/4" hex bolts and a couple of lock washers. The bolts that came with it were way too long for my mower. I also used a metal file and drill bit to widen the left mounting hole on the back of my mower so the bracket would align properly. I was concerned it would look bad and momentarily regretted not buying the OEM kit. However, I was very happy with the appearance once it was mounted. Bought for a John Deere Z325E mower. Hitch mounting holes on the hitch are about 3-5mm too narrow to fit easily. I also had to cut the provided bolts to the proper length as they were way too long. In the end I was able to get it mounted and it works However I feel that there was too much effort required for a “universal” fit. ... show more

Fit perfect and was easy to install. Had to move a heat shield out of the way but only took 15 mins from start to finish. Looks good, I like the magnetic locking pin! Would recommend.
