Wanted white with lit doorbell. This fit the bill and was a good price. It looks nice and was very easy to install, works great. But because it is all plastic, I wonder how long it will last. At this price, it would be easy to replace anyway.

    • It’s gotta very nice ring to it (sorry cheesy pun)
This doorbell button was extremely easy to install. Just flip breaker that goes to doorbell then I had to remove 2 screws from the old doorbell to expose the wires. Then loosen the 2 screws that connect the wires to the old bell. Then connect the wires to the new doorbells 2 screws and tighten them then just use the other 2 included screws to mount it to the house and done. For such a cheap replacement button it seems very well built and doesn’t seem to be the cheap Chinese plastic that they usually make low end items like this with. The light worked perfectly and fit perfectly where the old button. The customer I installed this for was very happy with it and at the end of the day that’s what matters. I would definitely refer a friend looking to replace an old cracked worn out button. Will most likely be purchasing another soon. ... show more

Works fine, easy two wire installation. Low voltage switch for up to a max of 16 volts according to the manufacturer. The voltage transformer for my door bell is rated at 10 volts, 5 VA. Lighted button but rather dim which won't be visible in direct sunlight. Nothing special, typical plastic construction. Made in China and I don't expect the light bulb to last long but the switch should last for years. See my pictures. Update Jul 2017: the light stops working. Though if I press the button several times the light activates but it will turn off after a short time. Probably the contacts are loose or getting dusty. I am changing from 5 stars to four. ... show more

I replaced my broken 1980 door bell with this look alike and love it. It was easy for this 75 year old grandma to install and it’s working perfectly. I have security cameras and didn’t need or want a security doorbell chiming on my phone all the time….that’s so annoying when you’re out in public.

Excellent quality, bright illumination and easy to install. Warm incandescent indicator lamp permanently installed inside is noticeable and makes the button easy to find at night. Illumination is generally visible during the day as well. Button rings bell when pushed from any angle too, which is nice, so your guests don’t have to worry about centering their finger. The built-in lamp also cuts out when the button makes contact to ring the bell, serving as a visual feedback to the person ringing the bell that they’ve pushed the button enough to complete the circuit. ... show more

I live in an apartment complex. My doorbell cracked and fell almost completely apart. People would still try and ring it and it would get stuck. I told my landlord about it but nothing was done about it. How hard could it be, right? I bought this, not thinking I would be able to do it. It was soooooo easy.
