Straight out of the packaging there is a slight oder, which the instruction pamphlet that it came with discussed. For me it's slight, & I don't expect it to take too long before it completely dissipates. Regarding the size - I purchased the 2.75" thick pillow, with worries that the thicker one would've been too thick. After getting the rough estimate measurement of my already-owned (& very old) flat pillow, I thankfully chose correctly! I'm a stomach (& sometimes side) sleeper - always - and this pillow is the perfect thickness. I also tried putting my arm under the pillow (as I sometimes do) & it was still perfect! I also love the fact that it's a comfy memory foam pillow. This is already my favorite pillow, & I'm finally now ready to let go of my old flat pillow, with this to take it's place. For anyone looking for a flat pillow, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. Sidenote: the pamphlet states that the pillow itself cannot be washed. If it gets wet, dry with a towel & use a blow dryer to finish. ... show more

I bought this for my 3 year old and he loves it. The first one I received had some sort of gross stain on it so it was replaced with little to no issues. It’s really soft and has a good weight to it. It’s very cool to the touch which helps my toddler since he’s a hot sleeper. Definitely recommend!

For me it’s quite comfortable and it supports my giant head. 😴 Update: I had a small issue with the zipper on the pillowcase so I contacted the company’s customer service. I really REALLY wanted to like this pillow. As a lifelong stomach sleeper, I've been searching for a pillow that's tailored to my sleeping position. I had never tried to use a foam or gel pillow before this one, and as it turns out, I guess I shouldn't. Since I sleep on my stomach, my face is pretty much smashed into this thing and the problem there is that the gel/foam pillows are basically a slab, so I ended up feeling like I couldn't breathe. There is no give and the shape just bounces back. My normal pillows are super soft, so I'm usually able to hollow out a little well for myself and with this pillow, you just can't do that. Definitely will be looking for something softer and more breathable. Guess that's just what I've become accustomed to over the years. I do have to say, this pillow seems extremely well made, though, and I've heard a lot of people really like the feel of a foam pillow. I've been thinking about a new pillow for a long time. I sleep on my side. I have a down pillow that is really old that I've been to scared to get rid of. I like the down because it has compressed and is not too tall. I can't stand firm or puffy pillows that don't pack down. I took a chance on this one. I have no complaints. I've been looking for something wrong with it and I can't find anything. It doesn't fill out the pillowcase much because of its low height. It's so very comfortable.
