Haws watering cans have been a fixture in English gardens since 1886, the year that Londoner John Haws patented his unique design for a "watering pot" with perfect balance. This small, well-balanced, mini version of the classic Haws watering can is made of injection molded plastic.. It has a round brass faced rose that is removable. Used for indoor plant watering especially orchids, African Violets and for watering seedlings. Over the last 125 years the Haws name has become known as the makers of the finest watering cans used throughout the world. This works perfectly for the purpose for which we purchased it: to water plants in a patio greenhouse. It's small and light, which allows us to reach into the back at arms' length, and then to gently water seedlings without flooding or washing them out. Yet I would not want to use it indoors. The rosette sometimes drips from the bottom edge (as others have noted), which can be quite a ways short of the watering pattern. That would be a problem indoors, trying to keep water off tables and floors. Yet a few extra drips are not a problem in our greenhouse. I'm not so sure that the drips are not caused by our water source (rain barrels) which might have particulates that clog the very fine holes in the rosette that make for the very gentle watering pattern we need and that it delivers. I also think I have also seen, as others have noted, that the can leaks slightly from the seam attaching the bottom to the sides. I would not want to find it in its own puddle indoors, but again, for our use outside, sitting on our potting table, that's not a problem for us. ... show more

Best little watering can i’ve ever had. My favorite feature with Haws design is that the handle does not cover the water fill hole so it is easy and quick to fill. Well balanced. it really is just quite a beautiful watering can. I like to use it for my indoor plants i keep on racks under lights. It does have a fault as noted by other reviewers. The tip for using the shower spout doesn't connect well and will most assuredly leak. It also leaks at the seam around the edge of the shower spout. Doesn't cause much of an ill effect for my plants though, so I can only complain so much. ... show more
