    • Great for beginners; does NOT handle big rod, gets pretty warm with continuous use.
I got this to teach my kids how to weld. It is perfect for this purpose. It is also quite handy for VERY SMALL jobs; stitching a seam, spot welding small brackets to hold them in place, and of course.. light weight training. This thing it NOT meant for continuous duty and I suspect it will lead a very short life if you choose to leave the candle lit on a regular basis. It's kinda hard to complain about duty cycle and (tiny) sticks... given the size and cost of this thing, so I won't complain beyond saying: don't overdo it on diameter or duty time: the small the rod and shorter the burn time.. the happier this thing is. I will update this to a 4 star if, after a few months it continues to work :-) ... show more

I ordered the YUZES Handheld Welding Machine for emergency repairs while adventuring the back roads of the U.S. Many times we find that we are well away from assistance, usually without cell service. Having the ability to make emergency repairs has to be on top of our equipment list for all of our RV ventures. The YUZES welding setup is perfect for the hobbyist that needs to weld a few items every now and then. I gave the YUZES Handheld Welding Machine Five Stars across the board. Using it is extremely easy and it produces Rock Solid Welds. Everything fits in a nice package easily stored until needed. I would upgrade the include eye protection, the glasses in this set might do if you had no other option but why risk damaging your eyesight when options are available? So not a welder, but always wanted to try. Got this YUZES welding machine so I could practice, learn and maybe just try to do the odd job on my project list. So far so good, got a few welds done and it's easy to use. I wouldn't say this is going to last forever, or even for continuous use. I have never welded before in my life but I got this because I have Halloween animatronics that got damaged by our winds. I had several stands that came apart at the weld. I tried soldering them and using metal glue but ended up having them not hold. This little machine did the trick. Now I wouldn't say my weld job is the best looking and I will need more practice but it is holding under the test that I have done. If you ever need to weld something this is a great item to have. Got this for my dad who always seems to need to weld something but cant find the time to drag out the entire welding set up. Is a stick welder and he said it works Okay Make sure you have a wire brush because it will not ground if there is rust or paint on the metal you are attaching the ground to.

    • Well built, suitable for beginners
I am by no means a welding expert. This machine was easy to figure out and get turned on, beyond that I am completely lost. It does not come with very good directions past getting it turned on and navigating the different menus. Maybe all this is assumed by the manufacturer that everyone purchasing is going to know how to weld and what all the different settings mean, but for me all of the settings are jibberish. I wish there was more education sent with the device. Past that it does come with 10 rods, gloves, dark glasses, and a nice case to keep it all together. I think with some time and a little bit of youtube I can be welding with this in no time. Seems to be well built and looking forward to using it some around the house.
