This is a great one for super quick protein shakes or smoothies! The two jars are so easy and lightweight and great to clean (in dishwasher, but I find it quick to just wash it under water). The only thing is, you got to keep holding the button to do the blending, but otherwise this is a great tool for quick shakes or smoothies. This is my second blender, The first one was the black one, this is in pink and I can notice the material is a little different that the black one. This needs to be treated gently. The lid is going to break if you are not in relaxing mode when open the lid, it is a little powerful machine, but if you like me that I had the black one before, you will notice the difference on the lid. just be gentle, go slow and breath, go totally vertically when open it. This is a great blender for a single serve smoothie. Powerful, small, lightweight and super easy to use. It crushes ice quickly and blends great. It's a bit loud but not obnoxiously so. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is the portable cup on it. The lid doesn't stay on very well and the entire thing is a bit cumbersome, especially when placing in a vehicle cup holder. I usually just pour the smoothie into a different cup and go. Clean up is easy and the entire unit is small enough to easily fit inside a cupboard. So easy to use, works like a charm, and I can just stick it in the dishwasher when I'm done (I've only tried placing it on the upper rack of the dishwasher, not sure if it's safe on the lower one too, but it came out perfect and nothing was broken/detached).

I burned through 3 Blendjet blenders in just over a year. They would work for a while and then would refuse to take a charge. In fairness to the Blendjet people, they sent me two replacements for no charge. After the last one died, I decided to try another brand. I was hesitant to get this Hamilton Beach brand because of the reviews but I wanted to try a small corded blender and this one checked the boxes. I'm so glad I got it. I've only used it once but it's the perfect size for my morning protein shake and did a great job mixing liquid, powder, and frozen fruit into a beautiful consistency. The lid that many people complained about fit so securely, I had trouble taking it off. If anything changes, I will update this review but for now, I'm so glad I made this purchase. ... show more

    • Worked pretty good until it didn’t

I used this a few times a week for maybe 18 months (averaged). I guess that works out to over 1000 smoothies. It would struggle to break up the icy bits if I didn’t put them in in small bits after the liquid portion was added. Today the bearings for the blade spinner of the cup seized up and it no longer works. I’m undecided if I’ll buy another since I still have the working motor unit or spend a bit more for hopefully something with a stronger version. Tip- look for something with a metal pieces that join together the motor and spinner cup instead of plastic like this model. All the same not a bad value ... show more

Bought this 3 months ago for morning protein shakes. It handles them beautifully. I've had several of these (or similar designs from Hamilton Beach). They'll last about 3 years of daily use and each new one I've bought has been quieter than the last. This one might not even wake the other residents of your home if they're on another floor with the door closed. It's a $20 blender, so you receive a $20 blender. No bells and whistles. Just a large enough blending vessel for 1 smoothie, a decently powerful motor, and a button to press and hold that makes it go. Would recommend.
