I like that this thing works good off road and on the carpet. But even as an adult I find it impossible to control this thing. It doesn't grip well on any smooth surface (drive way, wood floors, tile). I like that it works on either side, so when the kids crash it and it flips they can keep playing. Also the rechargable batteries are a pain to get to, requiring you to get a Phillips screwdriver out constantly. It's a decent car but it has too many flaws IMO Update: got an email from the seller, they say this is a stunt car and performs as expected thus they wanted me to increase it's score. Honestly we've had this toy for 2 years now, the battery didn't last long that came with it. As I said the compartment to access the battery is poorly designed in that you have to go find a tiny screw driver to open it every time. So expect your kids to run it for 10 minutes or so, then get a tool out to remove the battery. Then let it charge for half an hour. Then get your tool back install the battery so they can play with it again. I mean it's a kids toy. You get what you pay for, personally I wouldn't buy it again, given how little my kids played with it. It's just too much of a pain so they abandoned it probably a month after we got it. Update2: they contacted me again. Have told me they’ve made changes from the model I had in 2016 and now (2018). I cant speak to that. What I can speak to is some excellent customer service. It’s been 2 years and they seem to genuinely care that I do not recommend the toy. They have pointed out that they now send them with better batteries. And pointed out that this is more of a stunt car and maybe not the best car for my desires. I think that’s fair. Personally I think the difficulty of accessing the battery compartment along with hard plastic wheels make it a pass for me. But I’ll bump the review up to 3 stars for outstanding customer service. This little RC car does everything it claims to, even spins in space without a hitch. The instructions say not to use it in direct sunlight, but I tested this car in a parking lot with hot sun beaming down and it still operated smoothly. The receiver reaches pretty far too. The battery life is long (or at least long I used it, about half an hour at a time, non-stop). My only complaint is battery cover, you have to screw it on or it drops, but that's a minor setback. Every time this car crashed, I corrected its position on the top or bottom and it was back in business. The speed is about that of normal walking, so it's not a zoomer, but that ensures the car won't break in collisions. I highly recommend this RC goody for adults or children, especially at the low price. ... show more

I bought these because my cats enjoyed chasing around another remote controlled car that didn't last very long. These are great for that purpose. Battery life is good and they charge quickly. Great service as Haktoys contacted me and sent me a new car to try out. Works great and Grandsons are happily taking turns swirling it around. I like that you can turn the sound off as it can become to annoying I bought 2 of these for my 2 Grandsons for Christmas - 2015. We took them both out of the boxes ahead of time to charge the cars battery. I'm so glad we did as our Grandsons were so excited with how they did all the moves and the colored lights spinning in the wheels. The controls were easy to use for a 2 1/2 and 4 year old, of course Dad and an Uncle had to have a turn too. They are sturdy and did well on the wide panel wood floors. Now to the Boo Boo after about 15 minutes the Red Car started to smoke. My son opened it up thinking it might be the battery but the battery was cool. Stopped using it and have sent the seller an e-mail. I know I have read comments that the Seller ? or Haktoys will help with a replacement. will wait and see and post here with the solution's. Up-date I received an e-mail back and was told that it was just some oil and it was ok to use. Well the car never worked again. My son opened the car and the wires were all melted. I have sent another e-mail requesting a new car. I'll be back with results. The Blue car we bought has worked perfectly and is super fun to play with. ... show more

This thing rocks. The only thing I wish I could change is maybe a way to remove the wheels to pull hair/pet fur from the wheels. This thing went under a couch one time and clogged the wheels and now it’s in the trash. Lesson learned to stick the vacuum under the couch now but if I could clean it easily then I wouldn’t be resorting to buy another one so soon. I’m buying another anyway because my kid loves this thing. Still rocks otherwise. ... show more
