  • Beautiful resonator guitar
This resonator guitar is gorgeous! My husband absolutely loved it. It is well worth the money. Very sturdy, beautiful wood, and the tone is fantastic

  • Well crafted resonator guitar
Good looking, easy ping, good sounding resonator guitar. A nice alterntive to my favorite acoustic guitar. This doesn't come with a case, so you'll probably need to spend another $100+ for a protective case.

  • Beautiful and Lovely Sound
I purchased a less expensive resonator guitar and I was so disappointed in it so I returned it. I purchased this darling and have no regrets.

  • Box car guitar
My husband loves this guitar. He can’t believe the sound. On Amazons site it says the guitar is EL, which I took for meaning electric, and it states it needs 1 battery. None of that is true. If it is, I was sent the wrong guitar. It is a great guitar for a great price, it will not disappoint.

  • Gorgeous in Both Sound and Looks!
I bought this resonator about a month ago and am still getting acquainted with her. I have been able to (not all the time) coax amazing sounds out of this little lady. It's coming together now and soon we shall be making beautiful music together. The Gretsch G-9200 is a sturdy, beautiful instrument, which should give you years of playing pleasure. If you are not used to resonator guitars, you will find this one a bit smaller than you're used to. Don't worry: the big sounds you'll get out of it more than make up for its lack of size. I recommend keeping this in an open tune and using for heavy slide Delta Blues work. The G-9200 has a "warmer" sound than its all-metal companions, no doubt due to the excellent wood used in its construction. Get yourself a good detachable pickup and you will be all set for recording. Only one minor detraction: the peg on the bottom (for the strap) keeps coming off. Not sure if this is supposed to be or a slight defect. If the former, no biggie, just be careful. If the latter, no doubt a small drop of wood glue will secure it nicely. Get yourself a good strap with the strings, because you'll have to tie them to the neck of the guitar; there is only one strap peg. Other than that, this Gretsch looks and sounds gorgeous. ... show more

  • Resonator Came unplayable
UPDATE... I got my resonator back from the luthier. After having to rebuild the bridge , my luthier made this guitar playable and sound amazing . I highly recommend not purchasing instruments online. The seller of this product contacted me, and in their defense they offered to have me return it . Unfortunately , Amazon customer service wants me to upload my state ID for some reason? I'm not uploading my ID over the internet to some stranger in customer service ever! The bottom line , is get your butt up and go to your local music store . Don't buy instruments through amazon. Horrible idea. Neither the seller of this product, or Amazon has offered anything in compensation. Even though it was delivered late on top of all of this. Instead of just one star, I'm going to add an extra star, in that my luthier was able to make this a nice guitar. Of course that's after I had to spend more money. And do keep in mind when you read the reviews, that a lot of these five-star reviews are written by some guy's girlfriend. Oh my husband loves it! If you actually play an instrument, you may certainly have a differing opinion. ORIGINAL COMPLAINT I was really excited to get this guitar. It showed up looking beautiful, however, after being removed from the package, and trying to tune it, it became very apparent the high e string around the bridge area was not set up properly, causing the string to just lay on the fretboard. Then when you slowly try to tune it up, the string broke. There's buzzing all over this neck. This was horribly done and I am completely unsatisfied. I'm now going to have to take this and get it completely reset up, or deal with Amazon's customer service. Their customer service is as good as this guitar. Thoroughly disappointed in the whole endeavor ... show more
