This is the first battery operated lawn mower I have owned. I was very happy with the battery life. After an overnight charge of the battery, I was able to use the lawn mower. The battery was still charged when I finished mowing and I was able to use it to weed whack around the house. Which in total was about 2 hours. The mower and the weed whacker were light to manmover. I liked was able to move it around the flower boxes and porch with ease. The price of the pair was relativity what it was being charged for in the box retailer around me.     • Mower doesn't work, and seller won't service it

Mower worked great first time using it. Second time, it just wouldn't start. It seems this is a common issue with this mower...perhaps a poorly tensioned starting cord. I filed a return with Amazon, but it said the seller (a "small Ohio bookstore") no longer existed, so this wasn't possible. I contacted GreenWorks to review service options but they said because this wasn't purchased from an "authorized dealer", they wouldn't service it or provide any warranties. This despite the mower being in its original factory wrapping. The GreenWorks rep kept suggesting I choose a different power cord, despite my explaining this already worked the first time, and the cord wasn't the issue (I tested other appliances). I also "didn't select" an unauthorized dealer...it was simply the main link provided by Amazon. So apparently Greenworks doesn't support ANY sales from Amazon.com? I then called about 4 mower repair shops. Most said they wouldn't work on this. The problem is Greenworks has proprietary parts, and most shops can't get a hold of them. After all this, I contacted Amazon A-Z...and thankfully they came to the rescue with an A-Z refund. Note, this is actually the SECOND dead greenworks corded mower in my garage.
