I've been going through expandible hoses like crazy. Each new one promises to be better than all the others but alas they fail just as quickly. Time to change my approach so I buy this hose. The reviews are good and the hose appears to be well constructed I order the hose. I tried and tried to like this hose but sadly would never quite get there. This one became a return. Here's the issue... Unless you are using a hose reel caddy it is impossible to coil this hose. It would take me between five and ten minutes to manually coil this hose, fighting with kinks and so forth the entire time. The hose is very soft and durable but the problem for me was the avoidance of using it because of the coiling "issue". Owning a hose I was afraid to use just wasn't going to cut it. For me this hose didn't work but if you plan on using it with a hose reel your experience may be quite favorable. Your mileage may vary... ... show more

Ordered the 50'x5/8". Came in a nice box and packaged well. Nice yellow color and very durable. Yet, a bit heavier due to its durable construction. Looks like it should last a while if properly cared for. BUT, The back of the box states, "Anti-Kink", Extra flexible hose, no twist or tangle. No, No, No and NO! It is not flexible at all. As I attempted to use the hose for the first time, a kink formed no more the 15 feet from the nozzle. When I tried to correct the kink, the hose began to twist and due to the additional weight of the hose, correcting the kink was difficult. Attempting to coil only created more twists/ loops thus creating a tangle. I was required to take the time and effort coiling this heavy hose line (due to its durable construction) as if I was untangling a telephone receiver line (If you know what a mean). As of this writing I have my hose line stretched in my yard so the sun can warm up the line and hopefully relax the rubber a bit. Otherwise, I know what I am in for when I use the line. I could always fall back on my old green rubber line which is still very much in good working order. (I know, why did I buy a new hose if my green works! I wanted a new hose!) I would not recommend to individuals with weak hand and arm strength. ... show more

The hose is heavy duty and works fine but the sprayer it comes with foes not have a shut off option and the nozzle does not raise or lower pressure, it streams out full speed all the time.

After reading other people’s reviews declaring there were kinks in the hose right out of the box makes me question the validity of that statement. Here’s my suggestion, although it will require an extra 15-20 min. b/4 you can use the hose BUT it will NOT kink on you. After you connect it to the faucet, totally unwind it completely straight in your yard. This will require you to unwind the hose (turning it over and over) to have it lie flat. After fully unwinding it and it’s lying flat in your yard, turn on the water and let it flow through your straight hose long enough to open the hose. Then turn off the water and roll it up. I have a hose wheel, which I wouldn’t be able to live w/o. ... show more
