I just got mine yesterday, so I am not sure about durability yet. The fryer was very well packed and there was nothing to do but put it on the counter and wash the basket parts and read the directions. I decided since it was my first use to make something I wouldn't care about much if I screwed up; so I cut up some potatoes added salt, skipped the oil entirely and went for it. Came out beautifully! I didn't use any foil or parchment and the clean up was 3 minutes. I work a long day and when I get home, the last thing I want to do is deal with pots and pans, cleaning a stove and standing in the kitchen to cook a meal. This is GREAT! I put the potatoes in, turned it on and went about my other drudgery, only returning after 10 minutes to shake the basket and then 10 minutes later when they fries were done. I had a leftover chicken cutlet (cooked the day before, the old fashioned way) and tossed that in for 5 minutes to crispy it up and I had a great meal! The 3.7 was larger than I expected. I estimate I can comfortably fit 3 chicken legs and thighs or 2-3 nice sized pieces of fish. Can't wait to go shopping today after work as I plan to try out a few of the recipes in the cook book GoWise provided. All the recipes look super easy, require very few ingredients and look yummy. My next is going to be the apple chips for snacks at work and I'm going to try a few other recipes over the weekend. I'll update as I try new things. Update: So now after a few weeks I can say this is the best thing I have ever purchased, I have made several different chicken dishes, steaks, many different vegetables, including cauliflower, asparagus, carrots and zucchini fries. Made pita chips a few times, apple chips and mini pizzas. I am an air-frying maniac. Everything came out really crispy and delicious. The only thing I used oil on was the pita chips and asparagus, and even then it was a light spray of olive oil. Today alone I made spicy chicken cutlets with panko, brussel sprouts with garlic, 2 bags of pita chips with onion and garlic powder, and roasted carrots. Going to make roasted baby eggplant later and crushed them into tomatoes, cilantro and jalapeno for the pita chips. All came out really nicely and I have lunch for work for the next few days! I am eating healthier, saving money and enjoying the creative process. Thinking of getting another so I won't have to work in so many batches. We'll see. One other thing: I bought the parchment paper. Not necessary for anything I have made so far. Don't think it's necessary. At 2 months now of almost daily use. Still my best friend. Have had no adverse situations. I actually dropped the basket on a very hard floor expecting it to be dented...but nope...was still fine! ... show more

This is AMAZING. This was the best chicken I’ve ever made. It was done quickly, so moist and even though it looks like it from the paper towel (it’s actually excess agave and lime runoff) it was not greasy. Adding to my go to gift list for weddings.

just received this air fryer yesterday and very impressed. Simple to operate, good looking and it really performed as advertised. Frozen french fries came out perfectly crisp and delicious and not a drop of oil was used. Reheated some chicken wings and in 5 minutes at 370 degrees they were ready and hot. I like there is no need for pre heating it just starts cooking right away. Perfect size for two people..can't wait to try different recipes. I chose this model due to all the many positive reviews I saw on Amazon. Ok update: after the first machine started acting up after the 2nd time I used it, I returned and replaced with a new unit. I REALLY love this machine. I cannot tell you how well it cooks and how easy and quick it is to use. Chicken thighs and chicken wings are amazing in this machine whether breaded or not. I could never cook chicken breasts without them drying out, but this machine is fool proof is you set the correct time. The chicken breasts are perfect..juicy and delicious. Grilled cheese sandwiches are great and the cheese melts so well. French fries and sweet potato fries ..amazing. I have cooked with pressure cookers for years and while I still love them, this seems to be my new go to cooking machine. give it a try ..lots of great recipes and info online and at youtube so it's easy to learn how to us the GoWise Air Fryer. ... show more

    • Minor drawer closing issue but otherwise great

I love air fryers for their ease of use, reduction of cooking time, and easy clean up. I was in need of getting an air fryer that was larger than my 1.2L compact one, but not a behemoth counter-space pig like some of the 5-6 Quart air fryers. The 3.7 Quarter Go Wise Air Fryer seemed like a good choice. Pros: It's large, but not monstrously so, and I am able to store it easily on top of my refrigerator. The basket is a good size (for cooking for two people) and easy to clean. It is also relatively quiet compared to my Dash compact fryer. Cons: My only complaint is that that drawer does not easily close completely. I usually need to push down the side edges to make sure that it snaps completely closed. However, after using several different brands, I do think that this is a common problem with air fryers in general. Almost all air fryers have pull out drawers that slide and click into place. There is something about mechanics of pushing in a large drawer with a single vertically placed handle in the center that does not enable enough pressure on the sides of the drawer, especially when it is large, to always snap completely into place. When you put the drawer in, just make sure that it is completely flush on both sides by pushing the sides of the drawer with your fingers. It's a minor gripe, but worth enduring to use the air fryer. ... show more
