This neon rope light is great! I have some other light products by other companies and I have to say I enjoy Govee's app a lot more than the others. Its just so much easier to navigate and use. I have had issues with other big brands losing connection to my wifi and having smart home devices not being able to communicate, we're about a month in and no such issue yet. Very bright, dimmable, a wide range of colors that are already in app to choose from, really cool music sync movements. I sit with the light rope on the wall behind my desktop and so far have had no issues with eye fatigue since you can dim them so easily. I installed the rope light myself onto my wall in a very abstract shape and it probably would have been easier with another person but its very doable alone. The adhesive clips have not let me down yet, they are holding up really well. The wire has been tripped on and the clips stay in the wall and the light rope just pops out, no accidental damage to the wall or anything (we will have to wait and see if that hold true when removing the adhesive clip.) ... show more

I absolutely love the purchase that I made on these lights. They’re bright and provide the room with a good amount of light (I really love the warm light feature) not enough to completely illuminate a room but allows for a cozy ambiance. The app you can use with the lights is convenient as well. You can turn the light on/off, switch the color, and play with different special effects. The installation was easy and gave three different options of installation. You can either screw in the clips to the wall, use the sticker tap on the backside of it, or both. I elected to just use the tape to create less holes in the wall. The only thing to keep in mind with that is to make sure to allow enough time for the clips to adhere to the wall before hanging the light, or the clips will fall off. ... show more

I purchased these lights to go on my vanity mirror in my closet. I didn’t really know what to do with the tail, but when I came up with the hearts, it just made everything fantastic! Beautiful lights. Could be brighter in my opinion, but not a dealbreaker. And the app takes it up a notch.

These are definitely bright and give a neon-look when at 100% brightness. I like that each segment is so customizable, both brightness, gradient and color. There are many, many effects options for animating the lights. The media could not be loaded. I originally purchased this so that I could give myself the satisfaction of decorating seasonally without having to buy anything else, and that idea has held up well! I do not use the given adhesives but will change between thumb tacks and clear command hooks. I change it out just about monthly to a new design and then come up with different settings on the DIY section. The DIY section on the app is a little overwhelming at first but once you figure it out you can really play with the different designs. The effects portion is really hit or miss, I wish that you could slightly edit them or be able to replicate them in the DIY section but you are limited to certain abilities. Other than that, it performs great both as a design item and a light for the room. The one thing I did notice is that if you push it too far (angles or smaller circles) I think it creates a slight short in the chain and while changing light settings you may sometimes notice a light section “twitch” that will quickly flash a different color. I’ve found that it goes away but comes back again when changing settings. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These lights are fantastic. They have a seamless look. The app allows for a lot of customization as well as having a lot of presets to get you started out of the box. The lights are bright but can be dimmed to what you prefer. The colors seem limitless and you can create your own patterns. You are really limited only by your imagination. Be mindful of your design though. When you have overlaps, it affects how many and where you will need to put your anchors. The anchors have 3m tape on them as well as the ability to screw them into your wall. You can't really reposition the anchors much as the tape is very sticky and if you do takes it off, it loses some of it's tack. Practice it on the floor and keep the anchors where you will need them before putting them on the wall. You can use gaffers tape to help you place the strip on the wall to finalize the positions without messing up the wall. If you like lighting, you will love these light strips. The app integrates well with the other govee lights as well. You can get a coordinated and immersive experience. Highly recommend these. ... show more

First time using LEDs and Govee products, but set up was a breeze. Lights are vibrant and well diffused. A great addition to a man cave, game room, bedroom or entertainment space. Cons mostly include poor adhesion on the walls. It would fall off in various spots and need to be reapplied. The light motion capabilities were plenty but mediocre. Some of the pre-set modes looked bad and static colors was the only good looking option.
