  • Amazing piece of machinery! Perfect blend of commercial/personal grade equipment!
Style: The Liger Black
A plus of the the product is that it’s compact for a home gym but the quality is not full commercial grade (and that's okay) but actually more akin to a home/light-commercial grade mix, so definitely superior to a standard product. Now, to me, it was perfect for our home gym, we didn't want a basic product, and we did not want to spend thousands of dollars on a commercial grade, nor did we have the room for something full commercial grade. This item was perfect for us (e.g., size, price point, functionality). To be clear, the only real concern of the grade is with the weight ratio and the Company has since reached out to us to help us understand our concerns, they informed us of the accessories that existed that allow for one to push a higher weight and why the accessory item is necessary (awesome customer service and people that really care for their product and the physical fitness journey), the product itself looks fantastic, operates well, and is fully functional and easy to use. PROS: You get two machines for the price of one! The machine is able to be adjusted quickly to transition from hack squats to leg press with relative ease. Engineering seems sound as my legs are growing and I am still here today. I have used up to 300 LBS of plates (recommended) and the machine handled this well. It does have a built in weight holder for your plates too, which is nice. CONS: When performing exercises, the overall weight does not feel as if it is a 1:1 ratio, due to what I assume is something to do with the double function/engineering design due to the way the mass of the weights are distributed while they are resting on the machine, (e.g., angles, etc.) from my experience as a commercial gym user of 6+ years, it feels like a .75:1 ratio (e.g., 300 lbs. feels like 225 lbs.) This was the original reason for our concern (hence 2 stars versus the 5 now) but have since mitigated that concern after speaking with the Company who advised us on some accessory items that allow for those users (like us who probably should have a commercial piece of equipment to move beyond the capabilities and limitations of this particular product). Now, how many people actually max out 300 LBS on a machine, but for those of us that do, what comes next? The answer is this, the Company makes an accessory item that allows you to add up to 200 more pounds, and using the subjective ratio I referenced above, that would be somewhere around 375 to 400 lbs which should get the job done for most of us females out there. For reference, I am about 145lb female lean/slim 5’5 and have had this product for a few months. My fiancée doesn’t feel the difference between commercial vs this product as he isn’t a regular user of the leg press at the gym. ... show more

  • Great value at this price point! Outstanding customer service!!!
Style: The Liger Black
Assembly is easy, product is sturdy, and customer service is outstanding!!! I can't say enough good things about this company. If you have any concerns about the quality of this product or how you will be treated, there is definitely no need to worry. During assembly I discovered three parts were damaged, probably from the factory, and contacted seller through Amazon portal. To my amazement within 24 hours seller responded at which point I provided requested the SKU numbers and pictures of damaged parts. 36 hours from point of contact my replacement parts were in route and received everything within the three to five business days as seller instructed. Only took me 15 minutes to install remaining replacement parts and my leg press was ready to go! Now for review of the product. So I chose this design because it has two options to load weights. One on either side of the upper foot platform (chest level) as shown in the pictures and the two horns underneath. Because I have a bad lower back, it's awkward loading weights lower horns, underneath the sled. The only downside of weight horns on either side of platform, is that it makes the unit a bit wider. That's the tradeoff for saving my lower back and well worth it in my opinion. Machine glides smoothly, but is somewhat noisy, and showed no improvement after spraying with silicone. Although very solid, it's not as comparable to leg press in the gym. So getting up and out of it is a little different than the industrial machines you're used to. But operationally this works the same and is great for either hack squat or leg press. Now I will say I do wish the foot platform was a bigger so your legs could get wider than shoulder width. Also at the bottom of the hack squat, it's hard to get ass to grass. Even with bottom foot platform all the way up, you can't quite get butt to heels at bottom position. I also had to remove the center adjustable safety stop peg in order to get deeper than standard. In summary, for the reasons I mentioned, this works perfectly and I'm 100% satisfied with customer service and quality of the product. Although I wish it would have a wider platform I see that all other machine platforms at this price point are the same. For that reason I'm happy I chose this one because of the weight horns at chest level. If your criteria are the same as mine, I say grab it and go. You won't be disappointed!!! ... show more

  • Runs well with 585 on
Style: The Liger Black
This thing is a great deal for the price. It is well built and relatively easy to put together. There's a lot of pieces but the manual is good and the smaller parts are all clearly labeled. So far the heaviest that iv pushed it is 585 lbs. It handled it just fine. It didn't feel woobly at all and as long as you balance the load on both sides it is super stable. I was a bit worried because of the single post in the back. I would've preferred four, but one seems pretty good so far. If you're on the fence, it's definitely worth it at its current price around 720 USD. One last thing - I am a little over six feet tall and find the range of motion to be perfect. Sometimes on the hack squat I just barely bump the safety catch but it's right at my return point, which gives me a great reminder that it's time to head back up. It's not even close to bumping on the leg press side of things for me. Get it. You'll like it. ... show more

  • Great Machine! Well Worth the Money!
Style: The Liger Black
This is a great heavy duty machine! It is well designed and operates smoothly. The structure is solid and the conversion to leg press is quick and simple. Instructions are easy to follow but assembly does take some time. The machine arrived in 4 boxes. One of the boxes was damaged leading to a missing component. I contacted customer service and they immediately shipped me another box. I couldn’t believe how quick to respond they were and how much they wanted to make the situation right. The machine works better than expected and the customer service was top notch, I highly recommend this company and machine! ... show more
