  • Not as it seems
Size: 4ft x 15ft
Very low level of tint, in the pictured photos it shows it reflecting and making it hard to see inside the house. This is false. Installed and with the sun directly on it, you can still see straight inside the house

  • Reduced sun transmission
Size: 4ft x 15ft
We bought this film to cover our enclosed patio windows which get at least 6-8 hrs of sun. Even with low-e glass, the room would heat up. We put up the film while the sun was going down. It is best to do it with plenty of light. I highly recommend 2 pairs of hands if not 3 to remove the film covering. The method of putting tape on both sides of the film and pulling them apart made taking the film protective cover off so much easier. Our windows are 47.5 in x 21.5 in. The recommend cutting the film about an inch bigger than needed so you have to trim it on the window. We cut the window height exactly to fit so we only had to trim 1 side. Wetting the glass and the film a lot makes placing the film and adjusting it on the window very easy. We used a 48" level as a straight edge and a marker to make the line to follow with our very sharp scissors. It took less than 1 1/2 hrs from room prep to final clean up to do 6 windows. Now that it is dark outside, I can hardly see the condo across the yard. Tomorrow will be the big test for heat blocking. ... show more

  • Good value, could stick better
Size: 4ft x 15ft
Watch a few YouTube videos before attempting the install. I feel like the sticky side could have been stickier, although adhesion was really good in some areas, the bottom of the window kept peeling up, and I had to tape it down until dry. Could have been my technique, I am a tint beginner. Overall a great product, I wouldn't trust the cheap imitations. ... show more

  • Not Worth Buying Anymore!
Size: 4ft x 15ft
I cleaned thoroughly my inside windows with water and a little vinegar, then rinsed with plain water. I then applied the solution to my window and the film. It adhered for the first week and then began to peel. I had one window where it peeled completely off and a couple that are still holding on. This product is not the same that it was 20, 30 years ago. It is a lot more expensive and comes with very few instructions. I have used these products before, both on auto’s and residential! ... show more

  • A small investment will make a HUGE difference in your home comfort!
Size: 4ft x 15ft
I was very pleased with this product. This is a much higher quality Gila Flim than their standard product you most often find in the box stores. I have experience in Tinting windows, and there is a difference in qualities of Film. So my concerns when looking for window film where wanting to find a quality product, without having to pay the professional prices to have someone come and tint your windows. The estimates I got for my house where in the neighborhood of $1,200 to have them come out and install "professional" film. I decided to do the work myself. My total cost was $170 to accomplish the same task! Since my house faces West, I tinted the upstairs bedroom windows first, to hopefully block the hot southern summer sun. It worked amazingly. The film is a thicker stock than the standard Gila film, so I would definitely advise purchasing the 3-in-1 over their other film. The temperature in the bedrooms went down an immediate 5 degrees during the peak afternoon hours. This meant that the bedrooms where at a comfortable level at bedtime, rather than before where it would be 2 am before the A/C caught up. The only negative to this film (if you want to call it that) is that the windows from the outside look tinted during the day, meaning they are dark like car windows appear. ... show more

  • Didn't work out as planned
Size: 4ft x 15ft
The product was exactly what it said it was but it was not that easy to install on my sliders. I did everything they said to do and still a ton of bubbles that I couldn't smooth out. It looks like crap. Maybe it would be better to pay someone to install tint on your windows than to do it myself again ... show more

  • Works Great!
Size: 4ft x 15ft
It is amazing how much heat is blocked by the film. I have two windows side by side and the comparison was surprising. Installation was very easy as I watched youtube videos prior to doing the work. The only issue was the adhesion which took time continuing to work the product until it was fully dried. ... show more
