I usually hate the New & Improved versions, but this is an exception to the rule, for sure! Great machine.. easy to setup, plug it in, green light let's u know its ready, and it expands to a wider setting if you have a thicker piece of food.. and best part the plates are removable and dishwasher safe. It just doesn't get any easier or better! If you are on the fence, no need.. just buy it , you won't regret it & you'll be so glad you did! ... show more

    • Easy clean, super effective
While my original old George Foreman grill still works and is highly effective, I found the negative to the grill was always having to go through a process of trying to clean the plates and the machine. With it being a one piece it just seemed like it was more work then beneficial which resulted in not using it nearly as much as I would have liked to simply for the amount of excess time having to spend cleaning it. This new grill while it being a little bit more compact which is perfect for somebody who is cooking for one or maybe two, heats up fast, and the removable plates make every negative I ever felt about utilizing the device completely dissipate. Possibly because of the size difference, but this grill heats up quick. The only complaint that I have with the machine which is really minimal, is that it seems that the top portion of the bottom plate gets hotter than the lower portion of the same plate. It took one or two steaks to realize that but once I did then I know exactly where to place what and how much time that little minor heat difference will save. I think the plate tabs that the plates connect and get held in place with could be a little thicker in design, but I do comprehend that this is a device that is relatively generic for many different types of cooking styles so it really isn't that big of a deal. Absolutely worth the price I paid for it. Saves time, absolutely saves money with the amount of wattage that it uses in comparison to your stove top, super easy clean up, in size perfectly for any type of countertop or pantry storage. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First, this is not large enough for 4 sandwiches, even with normal sized bread; however, I knew this before ordering by the product measurement size. But my needs were for only 2. Purchased this mainly for grill cheese sandwiches but will be used for more. Disney released their recipe for a Buffalo Chicken Grill Cheese Sandwich and we are in love with it! It's free on the internet; search for it. The problem for me, even on a flat skillet and an extra wide spatula, it's difficult to flip over because the cheese and started melting and the filling is warm causing the filling to slide out and the the sandwich to come apart. So I wanted a grill that would toast the top and bottom at the same time. This is the gem! Purchased this after researching many other panini grills. There are other products with more features such as being able to lay down flat to grill but I don't need that, nor do I need temperature control, an on/off button (this is plug in and it's on, unplug it's off), etc. What I need is a handle that will adjust height for my sandwich and one that's easy to clean. As far as cleaning, the top and bottom trays snap out, they are thin and light weight, and easily snap back in; you will not find an easier to clean Panini grill than this! Two other reasons I bought this; one was price at $29, because I'm not going to use it every week but more like once or twice a month. The second reason was I purchased the George Forman 15-serving grill from Amazon and I've been sooo happy with that purchase in an apartment where I cannot use charcoal or open flame. Had apart that broke on the 15-serving grill, took a picture and submitted a claim on their website and George Forman customer service mailed me a new part no questions asked and no contact with them...just from the picture; that's awesome customer service! Attached is the first sandwich I cooked. The recipe says heat skillet 5 min on med-low, and then cook 2 min on each side. The panini instructions recommended to preheat and then cook 4 min. With this sandwich I followed the 4 minute recommendation, but probably could have went 5 to 6 min with the panini. Overall, not flipping the buffalo grill cheese sandwich is awesome! Also love toasted BLTs with the panini, because of the weight of the grill, toasting both sides at the same time and no flip! This summer I'll definitely be exploring more sandwiches! ... show more

We are big fans of the George foreman grill at our house. We've had numerous models over the past 20 years. We store it in the cold oven (so we don't have to look at it all the time) on a large cookie sheet with the drip tray and scraper. When we want to use it, which is most days at lunchtime and sometimes dinner, we take the whole pan out, use it and put it back. So easy! This is the best model ever because the metal plates pop out and are super easy to wash. ... show more
