  • Easy to hook up Generator
This is easy enough, weight wise for me to pick up. The noise level is tolerable. It’s very handy to have in case of power outages. It allows you to keep your refrigerator and freezer going. The phone chargers are nice too. It’s very nice for camping but as I said during short periods of outage, your frozen food is protected and you are able to run small 110 appliances . ... show more

  • This GM3300i vs the Wen 2350
Update June 2024: Fired it up for the first time in 4 months. It was out of gas so it didn't start. I filled it up with old gas and it started after the 3rd pull. When the fuel lines are primed it usually starts on first pull. ... After 30 min of run time it sputtered. I think the old gas is causing it. I diluted it with good gas, and it seems to work better. Will run a couple of tanks through it to see if it begins operating 100% again. Still looks like a good choice compared against other options even in 2024. The pull cord mechanism was fixed with epoxy and the handle had to be serviced a few times as well because the cord popped out of the handle on quick pulls. I'd probably buy one again if it broke today. Seems like a real workhorse besides the sputtering that is going on, which may be due to old gas. Replacement parts would be nice! Update November 2023: Pull cord recoil assembly partially broke. It still works, but I have to be very careful about how to pull it. No idea where to buy parts. If I can't get replacement parts, this thing will soon be as good as scrap. Still runs otherwise. Update September 2023: Have been happily running mine over a year now. Maybe 500 to 1000 hours on it. Yesterday while running it spilled a whole gallon of gas everywhere. Today I opened it up and found the barb / hose sizing on the tank is INCORRECT. The fuel line is too small for the barb, and overtime (if they didn't fix this on later version of this gen.) the rubber WILL break. ⚠️ You've been warned! ⚠️ -1 star. Still a great generator, but this flaw is dangerous!!! I will replace the hose and continue to use this generator. It has survived 2 heat waves and 1 frozen winter now and keeps chugging. Around -10C it will NOT start. Typical. But if you heat it with a heat source until it thaws a little bit it will start in freezing temps. In temps of 100F it will sputter if it doesn't have sufficient airflow (so this means, don't keep it in a box unless you give it enough air, I kept mine in a generator enclosure which is how I learned this, but out in the open air it runs fine at 100F). Original review June 2022: The Wen 2350 was junk. Kept dying after the break in period. At 1800 watt load, the Wen will go 4 hours on 1 gallon. This larger gen has a bigger engine. It's a tad quieter than the Wen... Probably 2dB. Not too much, but every bit counts. The GM 3300i has more running watt capacity (I haven't tested the limits yet) but it will only run 3 hours on the same 1800 watt load vs the Wen. ... Worth it to me, because I will be stepping the load up to 2900 watts soon, and the Wen generator could never do that. I expect run time to be further reduced on 1 gallon of gas, however, I'm charging large batteries so this means I can charge quicker in a shorter time vs the lower wattage wen Gen. ... show more

  • Started 2nd pull.
Good value and cranks up no problem. Have tested on camper and it is working well on keeping the camper up and running. Have not run AC yet will update on that after breakin.

  • hope it doesn't die
I got this unit late June, and went on a road trip with it. It's September and it's started dieing. Starts great. The inverter kicks in, and between a few seconds and 5 minutes the overload light comes on, and it shuts down. Called the 24 hour help line (closed weekends,8 to 5 PDT), and the guy was blaming the carb. Wanted to send me a carb. After further talks, he recommended sending a email. These guys are not set up to service this product. Note, I'm just starting on this service adventure, and will update it with my results.... Good or bad. Note that it worked great for 10-15 hours. Will update this review with my service results. Update: Moved from 1 star to 2 stars. My original review I was on the road. Being in and out of campgrounds without cell was a slowdown, but have called back, and via polite conversations, I nave a new generator being shipped. I think it was the same service guy, but I'm guessing he's been doing it long enough to get a clue. I've seen some reviews about bad service, hopefully, if you call in, and are polite, you'll be able to get your generator serviced. They're supposed to ship a new unit, and assuming they do, I'll run and test it and all will be good. If it has 3 stars someday on this review, then the replacement will have been running well for a significant amount of time. UPDATE: I've been calling genmax every few days for support now for over a month. They told me about a month ago, they would exchange my unit. They then quit returning calls, and responding. I did get 1 text saying they're trying to find a unit to replace mine. At this time, I have to recommend you avoid all GenMax products. If it dies, you will have no support. There warranty is a lie. They will blow you off. ... show more

  • Started on first pull
After having it for 2 years, I finally got around to it. Followed advice for a break-in procedure and it started on the very first pull; it's at about 65 db on eco mode, but very first (break-in) run.

The generator is ok so far haven't used it much but out of the box the USB plug in was flopping out because the retaining nut was broken inside and gas leaks out of the carburetor I think the drain screw may be loose. • Little Workhorse
Great little generator runs the 15,000 BTU AC unit and electric water heater on our travel trailer at the same time no problems. Fit and finish are good and starts on first pull. Have run it for two hours straight with AC on and noise level was not too obnoxious. Do not forget to add oil before using! ... show more
