I purchased this Genkins 4500 watt generator and it worked great. Unfortunately, after about 6 weeks it stopped working. After informing Genkins Direct, they offered me to send it back and refund me or send me a new one. Since the 4500 watt was a little to heavy to lift for me, I opted for the 3800 watt, which is lighter, and I didn't really need 4500 watt. Bought this generator a year ago but never set it up. Needed to use with recent power outage so poured the oil in, connected the battery, and poured in gas. It started on first try. The generator is quiet and efficient. Ran a small mini split A/C, fan, small freezer, and dehumidifier at the same time for 3days straight. Was only using50% power so plenty of room to add more. Going to use the generator to boondocks with our travel trailer. Just added oil and gas and it fired up nicely. Side panel removes with 4 Philips screws to access anc connect battery for electric start. So far, its just what we need.

Had bought a genkins generator year prior.. excellent no problem used it everyday. So I buy a quiet genkins generator/inverter.. Day28 or 29 and the thing starts making god awful noise-( Pictures ) silver band inside of black housing is completely broken & sticking out in one pic ! 100% broken pull cord assembly.. that was never e used!!? Once getting this, it took about 10 minutes to set up. Between oil (need to buy oil for it), gas, and connecting the battery, it’s seamless. I figured it may take a quite a few tries to start up for the first time, but it took two. Both of those tries were from the remote control (it recommends pull start first). After it started, I was surprised by how quiet it is. It was started up briefly in the garage so I figured it would be louder, but nope. It’s about as loud as someone talking next to you. This will be put to use for all sorts of camping this year, although I’m not looking forward to trying to get this in my truck by myself (it’s heavy for one normal person). ... show more

Arrived early, clear instructions for start up and use. Runs very quiet. Powers my fifth wheel(30amp) at 50 percent of output. In a pinch I ran my friends fifth wheel of the 20 Amp plug while his generator was down. It handled both with AC running! Remote and electric start work great. Unless you don't use it for a month or so you, will have to pull start the first time. Then battery will charge and remote/electrical start are good. ... show more
