Description

Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power? The WEN 2,000-Watt Inverter Generator provides clean energy, free of voltage spikes and drops, without all the noise of a regular generator. Produce up to 2000 surge watts and 1700 rated watts of power. Our 79cc 4-stroke OHV engine operates at an extremely quiet 51 decibels at quarter load, quieter than a window air conditioner or the average conversation. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 2000W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build- up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 39-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra- efficient one-gallon tank provides over 7 hours of half-load run time. The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V 14A NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V 8.3A DC receptacle and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline. Need more energy? Easily link up any two WEN inverter generators using a WEN Parallel Connection Kit (sold separately) in order to share wattage amongst multiple units. Low-oil and low-fuel automatic shutdown combine with the built-in overload protection and indicator lights to safeguard both your generator and your electronics from damage. Backed by a two-year warranty.

  • Great Little Generator
I’ve had this generator for more than 3 years now. It is quiet, runs well, starts easy and can power quite a bit. It is small and lightweight compare to alternative with 2,000 watts. Maintenance is easy. I also like the fuel shutoff valve that allows me to run the carb dry when I’m done to avoid fuel damage over time. ... show more

  • This is a very well-designed generator.
Wen 56203i 2000W Generator Reading through reviews that have one star I find a common complaint not only for this generator but almost all products. People would say that they bought the product but didn’t need to use it right away, so they put it on the shelf until they need to use it. When they went to use the product, it didn’t work. It is now past the 30-day return window and the product cannot be returned. They are advised to exercise the manufactures warranty. Sometimes the warranty process works perfect. But often times warranty process is so difficult and costly that it just not worth it. They wind up throwing the product away and become angry. The moral of the story is: always test the product as soon as you get it (certainly before 30 days) to make sure it works. Now…to review this product. Packaging is excellent. Box is sturdy double strength cardboard. Generator is enclosed in high density foam. Shipped via UPS. Zero shipping damage. I read user manual before unit arrived. The user manual is as good as I have ever seen. Easy to read. Every detail is spelled out as it should be. Removed the side cover to examined unit to make sure nothing is damaged. The screws stay in the side when removed. I thought this was a nice touch. Filled with oil and gas. Set all the controls and open the gas cap vent to start the engine. Started up first pull. Let the generator run for 45 minutes with no load and ECO OFF to let the engine “break-in”. Ran for another 30 minutes at half load. All is well. Tested the ECO mode – worked like it should. One reviewer stated that the output did not regulate well, so I ran some load tests. Here are the results: Load, Voltage, Hz No load 123.0 59.99 816 W 121.0 59.99 1372 W 119.5 59.99 1673 W 118.5 59.99 I am not an expert on generators, but these numbers look pretty good to me. One huge plus is the 120V receptacles are NOT Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) type. I have never been electrocuted. But I nave on numerous times had an appliance or device that trips the GFI erroneously. When at home I can just switch to non-GFI circuit and off we go. But with only GFI circuits on the generator you are not able to power that device. This is a very well-designed generator. I am happy with this purchase. Update: We now have about 100 hours on the unit...zero problems. I read that some people say i is quiet and others say it is noisy. It turns both are true. We mostly use the generator to run lights and charge batteries on a camp trailer in the evening, about 400 watts in ECO mode. The generator sits on the backside of the trailer when running. We sit around the campfire in front of the trailer. The noise is not intrusive at all. I plugged in a 1500 watt heater non-ECO mode. The bark is now quite loud. ... show more

  • Great lightweight generator
First, I've owned this for 2 years. Bought it when Ian hit Florida but didn't use it much. Milton knocked out our power and now I've been using the generator for 2 days straight. Fuel consumption is great, about 1 gal per 7 hours (this depends on how heavy the load is your placing on it). It has powered our refrigerator, Wi-Fi, television, a crock pot, and 3 bulb lamp, all while charging multiple devices at the same time and doesn't overload. We have a fairly powerful microwave and the generator overloaded when we tried to power it. It handled our air fryer and ninja ice cream maker with no problems. Be mindful, you need to change the oil after the first 8 hours of use and then every 25 hours thereafter. So buy plenty of bottles of 30 SAE 4 cycle small engine oil if you're power is out for a long time. It takes 14oz per oil change. The oil at 25 hours was pretty black, so it seemed like a good thing to follow the recommended changing times. Also, you are technically not supposed to run this generator continuously. It's for light duty. Your supposed to let it rest for 6 hours after 18 hours of continuous use. I can't do that. I ran it for 18 hours, then rested it for 3 hours. I don't want my fridge and freezer to go more than 3 hours with no power. It's not super noisy but it's also not whisper quiet. It's not bad. Windows open right above it and we could sleep through it. It's super easy to start. Don't over look the gas cap has an on/off setting. If you don't switch it to on when you're running it, the engine will die. The cap on the on setting allows for enough air flow to keep the gas flowing. Cost to run the generator is 3 gallons of gas plus 14oz of oil for 24 hours (current prices that's $15.61 per day). Make sure you drain all the fuel out of it when you store it and it will start right up when you need it in the future. And I wouldn't run gas with ethanol in it, unless I had to. It will work with ethanol but I hate that stuff in small engine. Unfortunately for you 2 years ago I paid $147 less than the current asking price. Yup, there's no inflation whatsoever in our economy. ... show more
