  • Works great so far
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
Just got this baby to run my food trailer and she runs great and powers everything I need no problem. I hope I will get plenty years use out this fella. Was easy to get running besides the weight, heavy sucker. Also got a great deal on it. Would recommend it to anyone who needs a big generator with two fuel options. ... show more

  • Dura-Max 12000 HX
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
This is the only generator you will ever need..power went out on Wednesday just as the Hurricane started..And stayed out for 6 days..i used mostly gas because it lasted much longer then the propane I used..It ran my whole house including my central air conditioner...But I am going to install a easy -start on the ac unit,To make sure I don't have to have all the ceiling fans off so it doesn't blow the 50 amp breaker..But it ran flawlessly for the whole time I used it..Going to change the oil and put a new spark plug in it..To get ready for the next storm..Thank you .Dura-Max..for making a great product.. ... show more

  • Easy Assembly
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
I purchased this generator to provide home back up power after hurricane Helene. Everything needed to assemble it was in the box, including tools. The only purchase I had to make was oil. The funnel that comes with the generator to fill the oil has a plastic tube, which was crimped in shipping. I had to massage out the kinks several times so the oil would flow freely. I would suggest the manufacturer provide a rigid funnel for this purpose. ... show more

  • Easily runs whole house with 100 amp service with 3 ton AC.
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
Runs my whole house no problem. Gave it 4 stars because the run time digital readout quit the second time i ran it. Important for servicing maintenance. However , it still runs fine and is dual fuel.

  • It's a champ!
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
This is a GREAT generator, and a great deal during black Friday. We live in a somewhat rural area that gets occasional power outages, but if the main line to our area goes down, we'd be out for days. This gives me piece of mind. Electric start is amazing. Comes right up! As I type this, we're experiencing a planned 8-hour power outage (power company is installing new poles). Plugged this bad boy into the interlock kit port, flipped the interlock and breaker, and we're at full strength. Right now it's running lights, 2 fridges, the hot tub (which I just now realized I didn't turn off!) and all our household electronics. I haven't flipped back on the HVAC yet but I'm pretty sure this beast will handle it. Easy assembly, all tools included. It's loud, but it's not designed as a quiet generator so that's not a ding, just letting y'all know. It's also quite heavy, but the wheels and handles make it pretty easy to move around without too much trouble. Safety note: PLEASE remember to ground your generators! ... show more

  • Hurricane. Brand new defective generator. No manufacturer support. Darkness and spoiled food.
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
I've seen other reviews on here where people say they wish that they could give a product zero stars. Now I know how they feel. We purchased this generator back in late July so that we would be ready for hurricane season (yes, Florida). I put oil in it and checked the battery, but didn't gas it up because I didn't want the fuel sitting in it. I know, I know, I should have cranked it, tested it and broken it in BEFORE I actually needed it. Misplaced confidence vs. negligence. The night before the hurricane was to hit, I fueled it up, turned on the fuel valve, turned on the battery and luckily was hit by the smell of gas before I pressed the start button. After a few minutes of self flagellation, and hurriedly turning off the fuel valve, I noticed that this thing is leaking gas somewhere up behind the carburetor. I can't really see where it's coming from without disassembling pieces parts. I'm not a small engine mechanic, and I don't want to void warranties or screw something up, so I don't want to touch it. Besides, with a brand new $1000+ generator, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WORK ON IT. Called Duromax. One hour hold, recording then advised me to leave a message and someone would contact me. This was a statement, not an offer of an option. Left message. No contact x 2 days, sent email. Return e-mail several days later informing me that my case was being routed to the appropriate department. No word since. I have more pressing concerns with trying to have my house repaired, so this has been a nagging, very unwelcome side issue I've had to deal with. Given my experiences so far, I would advise anyone reading this review to think twice before going with a Duromax product. I know that there are plenty of good reviews here on their stuff, but I was one of the unlucky ones, and the dangerously defective product + total lack of timely support and no follow up (to date) leave me, to put it mildly, somewhat underwhelmed. ... show more

  • I love it
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
The price was right and I love the features of dual fuel with the price of gasoline the way it is propane is way cheaper and cleaner to burn. Also putting your appliances that run off of 220 no problem.
