Biggest plus of this, is the simple setup, connectivity, and use of its app. It also looks pretty sleek, like a regular doorknob. Not too bulky. They use their own app, and requires a bridge to connect with alexa, but the bridge can also be used with other gadgets that might also need a bridge, so it's not too bad. Battery life so far is good, it's been almost 1 year and it hasn't sent me a notification. So, my first set broke about 6 months in, but it's due to the front face screw/pin that twists to have the key be used. So, if you're going to use the key because your fingerprint isn't working, or the person doesn't have the app, then don't twist so hard. The fingerprint generally works, but for one person, all 4 fingerprints don't work after some time, but that's not the fault of this device, but the dryness of the finger. With this issue, I reached out to the manufacturer, and after some discussion, I was able to get a full replacement, so you can rest assured that they will help if things have problems. ... show more

It was very easy to install and works great! There are times where the finger print isn’t recognized but not much to worry too much about. The quality is strong and great and security is very protective. Size and weight is a bit heavier than a regular door knob but it is battery operated so. But definitely worth the money. ... show more

    • Near-perfect realization of a product I've been waiting for
Why hasn't anyone created this product sooner? That was my only question as I installed this, half expecting to encounter some flaw that would disqualify the whole matter. The only complaint I can muster is that installation instructions and the accompanying app itself are both unnecessarily confusing and could be improved. A significant cause of this confusion is likely because of unreviewed translation into English. For that reason, I give four stars for "Easy to Install" and five stars to everything else. If you have experience installing "things" in general, this shouldn't be a barrier for you. Even if you are new to installing "things", I recommend persisting to the finish line, because the end result is worth it. A tip: When setting up your fingerprints in the app, first set up a person profile (first installer is automatically "Me" and you can add additional people by name). Next, enter a fingerprint and select which finger you've entered by tapping on the appropriate label. Continue until you have a couple fingerprints plus a couple fingerprints of anyone else entered. I recommend doing all that setup with the door *open* so you don't accidently close the door and lock yourself out at the beginning. Then, you can test your fingerprint to unlock the door before you close the door, having some confidence that everything is set up properly. Of course, if all else fails, you can use the supplied physical key to unlock the door (assuming you keep those keys on the same side of the door as you during installation!). This is definitely one of the best and most unique products I've purchased recently, and every part of it reflects careful and thoughtful design and engineering -- even up to the way the batteries are efficiently stored inside the door knob.     • They work, until you get locked out!
I've had one of these on my back door and front door for about a year. Overall the setup was easy originally, but when I had to add some prints after about six months things went wrong. The app has a lot of trouble, it says connection issue just to simply log in, which was unfortunate when the finger option malfunctioned. I came home and the back door which we normally use I had locked from the inside with a deadbolt and went out the front door. When I came home to the front door, the print reader was flashing blue and wouldn't read my print. I tried to access the app and it wouldn't allow me to log in. I ended up having to send my kid through a window to get us in. When I came in I thought maybe I needed to change the batteries although it never alerted me like it said it would. I opened it and one of the batteries had exploded inside. I cleaned it and replaced them but the knob is now not functioning at all, not even the blue flash anymore. The back door still works fine, but I also can't log into the app to change or add prints anymore. Guess I'll have to dig out the key just in case that one stops working too, although the whole idea was to not have to keep my keys handy. ... show more

    • Great value! Works like a charm!
Door knob was very easy to install -- easier than taking off the old one. Hardest part was finding a screwdriver that was long enough and narrow enough to fit through the holes that connect the interior handle to the exterior handle (a regular manual screwdriver did the trick -- not the drill or stubby ones that I tried first). Ran into a little trouble registering on the app, but I managed to get through that by registering on my desktop and then logging into the mobile app after. This was perfect for my use case, which was to lock my office door to keep kids out of the room. Leaving the room is normal, but the door locks automatically when it closes. Coming back in is quick and easy with the fingerprint reader. You can disable this with a simple press of a button (or via the mobile app). We'll see how reliable it is over the long term, but for the price, it seems like a great value so far. PROS: - Fingerprint reader is very fast - Easy to switch between Passage Mode (unlocked on both sides) and regular mode (locked on one side). CONS: - Registering on the mobile app was tricky ... show more
