These are slightly heavier than a regular beach chair, as you've got a little extra weight from the shade. But they're not super heavy. They set up easy & feel pretty stable. The levers on the shade click into place and can raised or lowered to preference. The levers themselves don't feel like they'll withstand a lot, so be careful when setting up. I try very hard to protect my face from the sun and I was on the hunt for a chair that would provide enough shade to cover my face and landed on this one. I love it. It’s expensive for the what it is but better than frying your skin and getting wrinkles! It’s comfortable and easy to carry.

The media could not be loaded. I like the sun protection and the convenience of carrying it… although the straps are a bit awkward and find it difficult to open and close the chair . We replaced our old backpack beach chairs with these. They are a little heavier but have much better features. Seem to be well designed and manufactured. *Light weight. *Easy to carry - padded straps to wear like a backback *Easy open and close *Back "pocket" holds a lot of stuff and has a drawstring closure so nothing falls out * LARGE cup holder easily holds over-sized cups *VERY sturdy canopy - holds up extremely well, even in steady and gusty beach winds *Comfortable seat - no bar under the legs *Firm, sturdy, comfy arm rests and the back adjusts easily. We experience some pretty significant winds on our recent trip to the beach. The canopy handled it with ease. I was amazed! That being said............ if the canopy is up on a really windy day, somebody needs to be sitting in it or it will blow away. I tried to move the chair when the wind was blowing really hard and it almost knock me (a 160 lb woman) over. It pushed me backwards for several feet before i could stop it. I had to fall forward in the chair just to make it stop. It was actually hilarious. I wish I had a video of that to share........ trying to come up with a negative, but there just are none. Best beach chair hands down. I write a fair amount of reviews and I try to be as fair and informative as I can. I've never been paid or offered discounts for any of them.
