At first it seems a bit of a hassle to toss around this metal hose that is much heavier than one made of rubber but these are really good. These will last for a long time. I've been through many garden hoses and as soon I leave them outside they start to break apart. These will last and survive weather, dogs, kids, etc. Worth every penny! ... show more

So, I'm scared to try this lightweight hose but can't quite bring myself to send it back because there a barely any rubber hoses on Amazon. Lightweight sounds good, but I didn't understand from the pictures that it's not a rubber hose. Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention! But my heavy duty rubber hose is all kinked but I'm not sure what to expect from a fabric. Planning to use it for pressure washing the gutters with a telescopic tool and for watering the lawn.     • Good value and function
Stainless steel garden hoses seem to be becoming more common, and I'm starting to think I prefer them. They are noticeably lighter in weight than heavy-duty rubber hoses, but, unlike the lightweight garden hoses, are impossible to kink. They don't leak, and, being stainless steel, shouldn't rust or otherwise corrode. This is a good example of the type, and, it comes with the rubber gaskets you need for a leak-proof connection to your hose bibb or other hoses. As expected, I got no leaks; the hose performed flawlessly. It seemed perhaps just a little heavier than other similar stainless steel hoses I have, not enough to be a problem, so in my book that likely means the metal is just a bit heavier and thus that much more durable. My only complaint about this hose is that, while it does have plastic standoffs at each end to prevent excess force from harming the hose where it's fastened to your hose bibb, they aren't secure to the actual brass fitting as the better hoses do, so they aren't helpful for getting a good grip so you can hand-tighten the connection more easily. That is a fairly minor quibble, though it could be easily improved for a future version. This is a good long sturdy hose for a fair price. Recommended! ... show more

This metal garden hose is really nice. Being stainless, it's rust proof, it's sturdy (won't crush, kink or bind). And the links freely move to make the whole thing even more flexible than rubber. Nice!

    • Lightweight, practically no kinking, might want to replace washer
This ‘Artisan 25 ft Metal Garden Hose’ is my first metal hose, so most of this is in comparison to traditional plastic/rubber type hoses and for first time metal hose buyers. I’m quite impressed. It is lighter and definitely does not kink much at all. The fittings are a little small, making them hard to tighten down, especially on the spigot/faucet end. That might be why it leaked a little on that side, perhaps not enough pressure to compress the supplied washer. I replaced it with another washer and took care of that problem. This is a great hose for running to your potted plants since it is lighter and won’t get caught up around bends. ... show more

    • Nice and Solid
For several years I have been using the popular flat expandable hoses, they are light weight and compact when not in use. The only problem is they don't last, I have been replacing them pretty much every season. I thought I would give this hose a try since it seems like it would be much more durable. It is still light weight and it will tuck away in an empty pot when not in use. I have tested it to see if it will kink when extending it out and gathering it up and I had no problem at all with it tangling. The ends are a solid brass material and I was able to get a nice tight connection to my faucet. Time will tell how it holds up but it does seem to be of good quality and I am pleased with it so far. ... show more
