    • Astonishingly compact super-long garden hose
When I first received this, I thought, something is wrong here - no way a 100 foot hose fit in that tiny box. Once I got it out and connected it up, I was even more certain - this isn't just a little bit short, it's 50 feet long if even that. But, the label on the box clearly said it was 100 feet long "when expanded." So let's be fair and give it a try. Oddly, there was a ball valve on the far end of the hose, so you can turn it off without even attaching a spray nozzle. I closed this valve and turned on the water... OK, that's interesting, it's growing quite a bit! Then I attached the spray nozzle, opened the ball valve, and started spraying as you normally do. The result was remarkable - every time I'd start and stop the spray, the hose would writhe around like a living serpent, getting longer each time. Sure enough, it was stretching out amazingly, exactly as advertised! While I didn't actually measure it with a tape, this is indeed a very long hose, and who knows how much longer it might have grown had I played with it longer. This has to be far and away the longest hose in the smallest package I've ever seen, which makes it ideal for portable or emergency use - e.g. if your neighbor's water is broken and you're letting them use some of yours. Then I turned off the water and disconnected the hose - sure enough, it shrunk right back down to its original size. Now, I have a hard time seeing this hose as super durable, it's just too stretchy. The first time it encounters something sharp, it's toast - though if the break is closer to one end, apparently you can remove the end connector, cut out the broken part, and re-mount the connector to be left with a shorter but working hose. The instructions also warn not to leave it out in the sun, which suggests it's made out of plastic that breaks down under UV radiation - not uncommon in general, but certainly not normal for garden hoses. But that's OK - just don't leave it hanging on your garden-hose hook. Only bring it out when you really need a super-long hose for some reason, use it with care, and it will do very well. I would give this a 5-star rating, except that I notice there is another identical listing for what appears to be the exact same hose, only in black instead of purple, and for the same price - but, that other listing also includes a spray nozzle attachment. So unless you are very attached to the admittedly attractive purple color of this particular hose, you may as well buy the other one and get a spray nozzle for free. ... show more

    • Expandable hose. Very long.
Item came packaged in a box coiled up. Extra rubber washers included. No spray nozzle. Bring your own. Brass fittings. Good quality. Hose is rubber. Has strong rubber smell. Likes: Very long. Supposed to expand to 100 feet. Never measured. But hose was long as it is unexpanded. Similar to the As Seen On TV expandable pocket hose but without the fancy cover that goes over the hose. Reasonable price for an expandable hose of this length. Well made. Very light. Dislikes: No nozzle supplied. No big deal - we all have one or two lying around somewhere. Rubber hose is not protected in any way with a covering. I am quite sure one day something will puncture it. Overall, I do like this hose. None of the downsides are deal breakers. But if it was wrapped in something to protect the rubber hose, I would have rated it a 5 star product. But for the length and functionality as well as the price I feel it is a recommended buy. ... show more

    • Light weight
The media could not be loaded. This hose is very light weight and easy to haul around. It takes up little space and is simple to coil up. The hose is about 50 feet long when dry. Expanded, it is about 100 feet long. If your application allows for a dynamic length hose then this may work for you. I find that it helps to unwrap the hose all the way before turning the water on to prevent it from becoming tangled up. Kinks are not a concern with this hose. It interfaces well with the locally purchased brass nozzle tip that I use to achieve a fan water pattern. The hose seems to move an adequate amount of water. I cannot speak to long term durability and will update on that in the future. This hose has a rubbery feel and a somewhat inexpensive feeling connector to the spigot. So far, this hose is meeting my needs around my yard and I like it. ... show more

    • Light and Manageable. Love!
I Love this hose! It's so light, but does not seem to lack in quality. Hoses can be so cumbersome, and this gives me 100 feet of durable, flexible manageable hose. I don't consider myself lazy, but I have to admit when it comes to garden hoses, I tend to leave them stretched all around the yard simply because they are so cumbersome. Not this hose! It doesn't weigh a thing and the rubber is so soft and flexible. You can coil this up with such ease, even if there is still some water in it. My spigot is in the back, but with 100 feet I can reach most of the way around the house and leave it coiled up neatly near the front. It's thin in diameter when it's empty, but don't confuse that with cheap quality. Quite the opposite actually. The rubber is quality made to be soft and flexible. Where a cheap hose might feel the same light weight, they are usually thin and brittle. Cheap hoses kink and eventually get a crease that will snap. This hose does not seem to have any brittle qualities like that. No kinks, tangles or creases to compromise the hose. The fittings all seem pretty good. The shut off valve is a nice addition. Price for 100 feet of garden hose is exceptionally affordable. It's like getting 3 hose lengths for the price of one. I can't speak to the longevity, yet, but I would be happy to get a couple of seasons from this. Considering it's manageability, I can keep it coiled and well cared for. I think that will add to it's lifespan. All around bonus. The color is lovely, too. ... show more

    • I Love The Color Of This Hose.
This is a good, long, and durable hose. It's a rubber hose that keeps it's round shape when no water is running through it. This keeps it from collapsing or getting flat spots. It expands when water is running through it. It has a shutoff valve on the end of the hose. This is great for us here on the ranch. We can leave the water on and just open the valve when we need to fill waterers. This hose does not kink easily at all. The hose is flexible. For a 100 foot hose, it's light but carries a good volume of water. This is a great hose for the price. I would definitely recommend it. 💯 ... show more
