My partner was able to fix our stairs, cutting through 2x4s and old bolts in the process (like butter) without stopping. Several hours of work and it didn't start to die down until the end.

    • Metal blade is weak
It is light weight and very convience for cutting branches, woods. But it is not strong enough to cut metal. The battery does not last long as expected. For the price, it is worth enough but could be better.

    • Surprising Quality at this Price!
OK, I had a tough job waiting for this tool, cutting roots off a decades-old shrub stump that was solid as a rock. Clearing away surface dirt, it cut through thick roots with ease. Granted, I opted for a quality blade (Diablo w/ carbide tips) but still, a piece of cake. My concern was this is a lightweight tool, not heavy duty but I was happy with its performance. I was considering a major brand but with the tool, battery, and charger, it was more like $300. Don't waste your money, go with this guy. ... show more

Got this to build a small deck, and. Frankly because of the price. It works great. Have no trouble with 4x4 wood and smaller cuts. Have not cut metal yet. Full disclosure, the first one I received had a battery that would not charge. Had to return it. Amazon was great. I immediately received the UPS shipping papers and off it went. The replacement was already in the mail so I really did not lose any time!! The deck is coming along nicely. When Zi know more about battery life I will update. This saw is lighter than most and really easy to change blades ... show more

    • Major Battery Issues
Like many people, here I also had battery issues. I've only used this saw about 2 hours its entire life. I still get 5-10 minutes of use out of each charge, but I suspect that will go down. I will post a follow up if that happens. I have reached out to the manufacturer, and they tell me they will not replace. Another user suggested for me not to buy a Galax battery to replace the bad battery as Galax batteries is clearly low quality. He suggested to open up the battery and replacing the 18650 cells within. Sounds like a lot of work. I'm not sure I will do it. I will post pictures and information on the 18650's inside of their battery if I do. I suspect they are extremely low quality. The tool itself is fine. It does not have the power or abilit my milwaukee corded reciprocating saw has, but I don't think a cordless unit is supposed to. The blades they included are an okay quality.
