I bought these lights for my road bikes, as a means to put a light on my saddle rails that could be seen over the top of my saddle bag and they work well for that. For times where I have a third bottle these come with a clip-on mount that is part of the strap assembly for mounting on the seatpost, which works well and securely for clipping onto the exterior spots of my saddlebags. Nice visibility to the various light sequences and love the braking warning for extra safety. Battery life is very good, I can get 3-4 30+ mph rides before a charge is needed. Bike lights don't last forever so I picked this one after a little research. I think this light was a good choice after a couple weeks of use. I bike commute and for price versus quality this has been my favorite tail light for a few reasons. It is compact, bright, waterproof, & the battery lasts. It mounts well to my bike saddle and the light itself screws into the the mount apposed to clipping in like the tail lights I've had in the past wich could slip out. This tail light won't slip out of the mount and the motion detection works well and it lights up when you slow down simular to a car brake wich i think is cool. So, I love this light for some very specific reasons: 1) the build quality seems very good - aluminum body and bracket; 2) big enough to give out enough lumens and multi-mode lighting; 3) rechargeable battery; 4) most importantly - which is why I bought it - I wanted something that I could semi-permanently screw/mount to my bike rack so I didn't have to worry about losing it, having to take it on/off and it would be there whenever I needed it. I was about to purchase the Blue Lug KOMA from another online retailer (I had waited 3 months for it to come back in stock) but it is smaller, less bright, less lighting modes and a lot more money - $50 with shipping! After looking around I found this light and thought - hoped - that I could retro fit it to bolt to my rack and it worked great. I had to remove the mounting braket with two tiny screws....BUT that wasn't easy - they are small, easy to strip, and they were probably lock-tited on there....but I got them out and the bracket off. If I hadn't been able to get them out, I would have just had to use it like any other strap-mounted light - which would have been fine, but not why I chose this particular light. Then all I had to do was to drill a small hole through the aluminum mounting base, and attach it to the rack - which is why I bought this light - the METAL base - so I could drill through it and not deal with any plastic crap mounted light. Did it void any warranty? Probably yup. Do I care? Nope - it is mounted exactly where I want and how I needed it, at a fraction of the cost of the KOMA. I will probably buy one or two more to put on my other bikes. I can't speak to the long-term durability, battery life or anything else (other people have already reviewed that), but for the price and my specific needs, this is a 6-star buy. The media could not be loaded. These are no joke the best rear lights I've purchased. All of my other rear lights have broken due to jumping or the power button would quit working. These lights are honestly bulletproof. I've dropped them on the concrete floor and kicked them with my foot across the floor instead of slowing down the fall. I usually ride around 20 hours a week. I just leave the lights on the 1st setting and they seem to last for weeks. They've never actually died on me but I have seen them get down to 1 dot. Since I mentioned the dots it's a really nice system. There are 4 blue lights that tell you how much juice you have. Just a simple look and you'll know if you're good or not I thought the brake light was going to be a gimmick but it's a really nice feature. Folks riding behind me can see when I'm slowing down. Has come in handy on a few urban rides. The reason I gave the product a 4 is because of the metal mount. It didn't fit my bike. I have an Ergon SM E Pro and the mount needs to be maybe another 1/16" more of adjustment and I would have been fine. My wifes is just tight enough to be snug on her factory Kona seat. A bit of force and I can make it slide. She would have also benifited from a bit more adjustment to ensure the light didn't fall off while jumping on night rides. The rubber mount does work well though. After a few bigger jumps I had to put just a bit of epoxy on mine because it popped off the rubber mount. After doing that it hasn't moved. ... show more

The light works as advertised. Best way to make the braking visible is to set it to blinking and when you slow down or brake, it illuminates more and is solid. Easy to install. The charging port is hidden underneath the attached direct-to-saddle bracket. Just twist it loose.

The light mounted under the seat, easily, and functions as described. Be sure to use the 3rd or 4th light ingoptions, if you're riding in bright daylight and want the light to remain on. Such a great little light. Securely mounts out of the way under my seat. In blinking mode it lasts a long time on a charge, several weeks of riding about 5 hrs/week. Charges fast.
