The media could not be loaded. The RESISTANCE mode did not work. I just opened the box, plugged it in, and started with resistance mode. Didn't move. Not even the time function or speed. These only worked in SPEED mode. Not clear on if this mode moves automatically with resistance or not. To my understanding, it moves like auto but with higher resistance so you're not just spinning in circles fast. The plug is also a bit short depending on where you want to plug it in, you will most likely need an extension plug. It's also a bit on the heavy side for an elderly person, so just know they may need a little help with setup where it will most likely stay. I'd say it's roughly 8 - 10 pounds. The straps are a handy touch though. Most other machines didn't have it, which is why I chose this one. It's for my dad who is paraplegic, so it can hold his feet in place while it moves. The circle diameter is about 6" roughly. I think about 6.5"-7" would give a better range of motion (sitting on a standard height padded dining room chair, not barstool). If you want the person to actually benefit from this, sitting upright and not sitting back is better. Remote comes with a lithium battery, but I waited about 5 days for it to arrive and am very disappointed. I contacted the seller, so let's see how they handle this since you can't return it the traditional Amazon way. ... show more

I purchased this for my elderly mother to keep her active while low impact and it has exceeded expectations. I love that I didn’t need to assemble it. It also has good speed and resistance levels. My mother loves that she is able to see how many calories she’s burning and can adjust the time. It is very easy to operate. Appears sturdy, sleek, and is quiet.
