Yes, this works well as being fun, and comfortable for a child. I bought the smaller one. However, it is not as durable as it should be for the price, and you can't remove the cover for washing. Within a month, we had to patch a hole in the seam. We used the included patch and a large pool patch over that and so far it is holding. I have a 15 year old ASD son w/sensory issues. They had this at his middle school and he loved it. Due to the upheaval of the pandemic and starting to home school, I bought it to help him regulate. He loves pressure and loves to nestle in this. He is 5'11" and about 130lbs. He is rough on things and it seems like he won't break this. Luckily, it comes with a patch kit. This cozy canoe was very successful for both my neurodiverse kiddos to meet squeeze comfort/ calming needs. It was also a toy boat that got jumped on and pulled around so eventually it got a leak. We had trouble finding where the hole was to patch it. So, we bought another one, from a competitor that was a third of the price. The quality was obvious immediately in how the product fit around my kiddos and their comfort. This product is much higher quality, lasted longer, fit better, and was worth the extra cost. My autistic son LOVES this "canoe"! He sits in it while watching TV and has even taken a couple of naps in it. The product comes with a pump that is very easy to use and also comes with extra patches in case of a hole. I would recommed this to anyone with a neurodivergent/sensory sensitive child.
