    • Perfect entry level body massager
If ever I needed to give a one word review for any product I bought on Amazon, this would be it. Perfect. Before I get into pros and cons of the unit, I need to remind you that the cons listed below are my personal experiences. Others might be more suited to use this device without experiencing the cons. Pros: Cost effective : Bought the unit when there was a promotion going on and got it for around $180. These days it costs atleast $100-$150 to get a session from a decent therapist, so for $180, this is a steal. The way I get the massage out of the unit, having 5-6 sessions out of it, I would consider my investment paid off and everything after that is a bonus. Great build quality: I was skeptical when I paid for the unit regarding the build quality, but surprisingly, it's really sturdy. The mattress portion of the unit is firm and thick enough that even though I weigh around 250 lbs, the unit was able to carry my weight without getting squished. Massage rotors: Both shiatsu and rolling massage modes are top notch and you would feel them deep in the body. I have a massage gun that I have others use on me to alleviate strong pain in my lower back. Even with the highest possible bearable force, the pain just returns overnight. But with this unit's shiatsu massage is simply awesome. Though the pain didn't go away entirely, I would say it's better by atleast 50-60% and the pain hasn't returned in the 4 days since I have used the unit. The ability to concentrate the massage in a particular area using the myriad of options available on the remote is really helpful. Cons: Layout : The massage mat is extremely flat and I have a strong fleshy bottom. So sleeping flat on the mat doesn't allow my lumbar region to get in touch with the massage heads completely. I tired pulling back my feet towards my bottom and that posture was much better. Layout 2: I'm 5' 9.5" tall and the massage heads stop just 1-2 inches short of the area I want to have massaged even at the downmost setting. I had to push myself into the pillow to perfectly align the affected area with massage heads and it was bliss!! Alternatively if you are not a pillow person, you can just remove the detachable pillow and use the unit. As mentioned earlier, the cons are mostly limited by my body type and others may not face the same issues as me. I would definitely recommend everyone to try the unit. ... show more

    • If you have back pain - you need this
I'm hesitant to spend money on expensive products. Before buying Comfier's full body massage mat, I read reviews and watched youtube vids about Comfier's full body massage mat as well as other similar products out there. I ended up buying the Comfier brand. It's more expensive, but I figured since my back pain won't be going away anytime soon and seeing a masseuse is too expensive, I needed a highly durable, dependable product that will be there for me for a long, long time, especially when I experience sharp pinced nerve pain, which is searing. I counted down the hours 'til delivery day (only took a day). Nothing to do with it but take it out of the bag and unfold it. It's ready to go. I used it before going to bed and almost fell asleep while still on it because all my pain disappeared! I felt incredibly relaxed. It was extremely happy to say the least. Though I strongly recommend you follow the guidelines or end up with a bruised muscle like what happened to me (I couldn't help it - had a hard to pulling myself away from an amazing experience - so worth it). Oh yeah, I especially love the heating pad -- you could move it anywhere under your body for aditional treatment. It provided extra cushioning over the additional removable cushion that came with the mat. Stop reading this and just get it. Why I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars? I didn't count the vibratory things under your legs as having the same effect one would experience with rolling pins. Rolling pins create a realistic kneading motion you couldn't get with vibration. Hence, I don't consider it a "full body" massage -- more like "half body" massage. Though it still doesn't take away from the fact that I personally can attest that after all my research, Comfier is the best massage mat out there for back pain relief.     • Pretty good with extra padding
The rollers were too aggressive for me at first but are just right after putting a strip of foam mattress topper over them. I use it maybe twice a week but so far it's holding up well (purchased about 3 months ago). UPDATE: First unit stopped working shortly after I posted the original review (the massage head would still spin but no longer moved up and down the mat). I was initially told that the warranty did not cover shipping back the defective unit but the customer service representatives escalated the case and shipped a replacement for free without me having to pay to ship back the defective unit. ... show more

My initial review was a good one, worked good, however I never did receive the bag that was suppose to come with it. After spending 300 dollars you would think they would have sent it. However it only lasted a year and a half. I am in my 70's, 5' tall and live alone. I used the mat maybe 2 times a week for 30 minutes, sometimes not at all for months if my back didn't hurt. The only thing that still works is the Vibration and the Heat. The Shiatsu Massage roller stopped working completely, the first to stop working was the Rolling action and I rarely used it. The Shiatsu just completely stopped working. I would say now it is Definitely Not worth the money and very bad Customer service. I am really short and it is all but impossible to find a portable massage chair that fits me. I spent 200.00 on one that is suppose to adjust for neck and shoulders, well it is a bout 3 inches on top of my head.....I took a chance on this one and it really works on my back. I get that it says FULL BODY MASSAGE and all you get really is the shiatsu only on the back ( That I Read )... I dont use the vibration and never use the heat because you cant feel any heat. It needs a big improvement especially for the price... BUT !!! if you looking for a Shiatsu massager that fits any one and you can actually lay back and relax, then this is the one. All others only vibrate.. I like using the Shiatsu spot feature in conjunction with the rolling action.. Makes for a great massage. ... show more
